Re: Custom Views not working as expected for Document Library
Vikram_Samal Thanks for your help on this. I seem to have got the views to work now from the contents links. However, I want this document library to be visible from my homepage via a Document Library app When i try to use this view the views get ignored and library view remains even at the folder level. Any ideas?7KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Custom Views not working as expected for Document Library
Vikram_Samal thanks again for your help. I have changed my document library to the classic experience and checked my view settings However, my views remain unchanged Hopefully, I've done what you expected. Do you have any further ideas?7.1KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Custom Views not working as expected for Document Library
Thanks for your reply, Vikram_Samal. According to this guide - https://camerondwyer.com/2014/01/06/harness-sharepoint-default-views-at-different-navigation-hierarchy-levels-to-build-more-appealing-solutions/ What I am trying to achieve was possible. Perhaps this is no longer the case?7.2KViews0likes7CommentsCustom Views not working as expected for Document Library
I have a Document Library called "Production Files". Inside this library I want to have my top-level folder view showing only one column and once I enter a folder I want to have a different view showing multiple columns. To do this I have created two views within Production Files -> Settings (see image below). You are able to create two default views, one for top-level and one for folder. My understanding is that this will show "Top Folder" view on my top level (before I enter my folders) once I ender a folder the view "PBIX Folder" should be the view I see which should show me the columns I have selected as part of this view. However, this is not what occurs. The "Top Folders" view remains enforced once I enter my folder. Here's screenshots showing what I want to occur. Once I enter the folder I want the view to change to PBIX Folder and display the columns. Here's what is occurring now. Any ideas? Regards, HSolved7.4KViews2likes9Comments
