Custom Views not working as expected for Document Library
- May 04, 2020
HarryNicholls Oh that's a bummer let's check couple of things make sure you have created the folder content type(like I have created named: Project Folder) and used it in your library in the setting something like this should appear:
secondly both of the view should be the default view:
third in your folder view make sure the following settings are checked
finally your document view should have the below settings:
Hopefully you get your solution

Vikram_Samal Thanks for your help on this.
I seem to have got the views to work now from the contents links.
However, I want this document library to be visible from my homepage via a Document Library app
When i try to use this view the views get ignored and library view remains even at the folder level.
Any ideas?

Vikram_Samal I think I'm having the same issue. I would like a folder View to be saved to specific folder. I have created a custom view but when I set that view as the view for the folder, it "sticks" when I go to other folders. Why is it not easier to apply a specific view to a specific folder only.
For example, one of my folders has a "Priority" column with Top / Medium / Low so that we can quickly sort project folders by priority. That Priority column isn't relevant to the project folder itself that includes reference documents; but I may have other columns that are relevant to those documents. How do I make sure that the View that I assign to a specific folder only applies to that folder?
