singed pdf files get blocked when user is sending from shared mailbox
Hi, in exchange environment, I have my email account and also I have shared mailbox linked. I can sent the singed pdf file attached to email from my email but when I send it from shared mailbox, I get the following message everytime: "From: email address removed for privacy reasons <email address removed for privacy reasons> Subject: Executable File Violation You attempted to send a message that contained an executable file. Our company policy prohibits the sending of executable files via email. The message was not delivered." We have symantec spam filter in organization, which I think is causing that error, or it can be exchange policy which is more restrictive (on default or someone configured it so), I wonder if it is possible to address this issue and let the singed pdf flow from shared mailbox. What can I do to fix it? From where should I fix it - exchange management / shared mailbox policies or where do I find that options to configure correctly? Thanks George492Views0likes1CommentCan I find out at what date was email marked by color category by user in a shared mailbox?
Hi We have a shared mailbox, some users have access to it. They mark the mails by color categories, then we can see who's mail it is and who manages. but is it possible to see when the user marked the email using color category? I tried it in outlook but I can't find when the specific emails was marked by user. Thanks, George5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Changing format to XLSB - big excel file with many formulas, links etc.
Right. By saying "inherently safer" you actually mean viruses which sometimes come from and are stored in malicious Excel files ? or you are referring to other safety concerns? (like Excel stability, data stability with XLSB files) So generally if you are working with big files and there is no security concerns, you should used XLSB format? As you know computers struggle opening/working with big files so with XLSB and it's advantage of smaller file sizes, must improve performance I think. I understand that contents doesn't change, only the format. Many thanks3.8KViews0likes1CommentChanging format to XLSB - big excel file with many formulas, links etc.
Hi We are working with big excel files, around 30MB-200MB. We used standard XLSB file format which is default. 1. As I know XLSB offers better performance and maybe other advantages also which is a much smaller file. 1.1 If XLSB is better why Microsoft uses XLSX by default? 2. If we save all our big excel files (with formulas, links, etc.) does the data structure, formulas, links remain unchanged? This is a big deal for us so any data/format loss will be very bad. I just want to know why XLSX is used by default? and if we change files to XLSB will the data remains unchanged? Thanks4.3KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Does outlook (exchange) PST contains contacts? How to extract them?
Diane_Poremsky_MVP I think I found out the issue here, I did Archive not the Export, this is why I can not find "Contacts" information in PST file. My bad, I forgot that contacts is exported from "Export" not from the mail "Archive" menu. Many thanks Diane!2.6KViews0likes0CommentsDoes outlook (exchange) PST contains contacts? How to extract them?
Hi I want to get outlook synced contacts back from disabled account, got the PST. - So we disabled user account as she left the job. She had outlook contacts sync turned on when she added outlook email in iPhone app. Now when she deleted the email account from the device all of the contacts got deleted as they were linked to our company's email account. She asks us to help her retrieve lost contacts and want to help. What should we do, what can be done without reactivating user account and re-adding it to iPhone app to re-sync the contacts back to the device to move them to another account. Can we extract the contacts from outlook PST ? or is there other way? THANKS2.7KViews0likes2Comments
