Microsoft 365 E7 - discounts for nonprofits?
Hi Elevate team With the release of the E7 SKU just around the corner, are you able to advise if there will be a nonprofit discount/grant for this licensing tier? I have had a number of large nonprofits expressing interest in the product and asking about pricing. Considering that E5 has a 60% discount, is it likely that E7 will have a similar discount applied to it? A discount could provide a large benefit to nonprofits and an opportunity for nonprofit partners. Thanks MattRe: Non profit grant not showing in Azure
Hi UH Did you activate the offer through the approval email? Here's a handy guide for stepping through the process (click Start on the right to see the step-by-step guide): https://regale.cloud/Microsoft/play/198/azure-credits-en-us#/0/1 Thanks Matt17Views0likes0CommentsNonprofit Power Platform Community Library
Have you created something using the Microsoft Power Platform that you think would be useful for other nonprofits? Many nonprofits are solving similar problems in isolation. That doesn't make much sense when we're all working toward the same goals. I've started a repo on GitHub where we can share open-source, community-built resources with each other. Whether it's a Power BI report highlighting your donors, Power Apps for volunteers, or just a simple Power Automate flow that makes your life easier - this is where we can share, contribute and build on each other's work. This builds on the work already happening through the Microsoft Elevate team - who have been creating solutions based around the Common Data Model for Nonprofits. The goal is to extend that with community-built solutions. Please submit a feature request, start a discussion, or submit your own solutions! Hi Leslie_Robbins Now that we have more general information about the end of sale of the Power Apps per app SKU. I was hoping the Elevate team could provide further information to how this specifically effects Nonprofits and in particular the existing grant of 10 Power Apps per app licences.Power Apps per app End of Sale
Hi Microsoft Elevate team Firstly, Happy New Year to you all! I wanted to reach out regarding an important update in the January 2026 Power Platform Licensing Guide. It appears that Power Apps per app licenses have been marked as “End of Sale,” which represents a significant change for nonprofits. Could you please provide clarity on the following points regarding the 10 free/grant Power Apps per app licenses? Until when will nonprofits be able to purchase these licenses? How long will existing licenses remain usable? (Ideally, at least 12 months if not longer.) Once the grant for per app licenses is discontinued, will there be a comparable offering? e.g. grants for Power Apps Premium licenses? This is a significant part of Microsoft's nonprofit offer and a key reason many organisations choose the Power Platform over competing solutions. Nearly all of our nonprofit customers have leveraged this benefit and subsequently invested in additional Microsoft products, including Copilot. Discontinuing this could have a significant impact on both nonprofits and partners who serve them. I appreciate any guidance you can provide on this matter. Thank you, MattSolvedRe: I want to learn more about Nonprofit Pain Points?
Sounds like you've set up a good tech foundation! Power Apps would be a good platform to create a custom-built app for your purpose. Hi JohnnMZ At this stage there is no further discount for NFPs on the new licensing tier. However, Microsoft are encouraging small and medium nonprofits with business licences to renew with the new Copilot Business - it is significantly cheaper than the current nonprofit discounted Copilot licence. Microsoft are also offering a further 15% discount to all organisation until March 31, 2026. My thoughts: The nonprofit discount on the original Copilot licence wasn't available until 6-12 months after launch, so it's possible a discount will be available in the future. However, this won't be known until it actually happens. Hi Elevate team It was great to hear about the new Copilot licensing tier for SMBs, Microsoft 365 Copilot Business. As this new pricing tier is lower than the current nonprofit discount (US$21/user/month compared to the 15% discount of US$25.50/user/month). I was wondering what the official guidance is for small and medium nonprofits (those who have a Microsoft 365 Business plan and fewer than 300 users)? Will a new nonprofit discount be made available based on the lower tier? Or should small and medium nonprofits look at moving to the new SMB Business SKU? Thanks MattSolvedRe: Allow hidden fields
Thanks for the tip Rob. I would post it on there if I thought those ideas were kept current - looks like it hasn't been touched for two years and many of the 'We're considering this' ideas were delivered a while ago. I've found Dingkun Xie to be very responsive on this forum.161Views0likes0CommentsAllow hidden fields
Hi DingkunXie Can the product team do the following: Create an option to make a field hidden or read-only Allow URL parameters to populate the hidden or read-only field Currently we can use a workaround to hide a field using branching logic, but the hidden field can't be prepopulated with the URL parameter :( This small change will unlock a huge amount of value in the product! Especially in the age of automation and Copilot. Looking forward to seeing this happen :)319Views1like2Comments
