Sync button on modern pages not working in Internet Explorer
We have recently moved our SharePoint Online site to the modern layout, including document libraries.
We seem to be have one issue with the Sync button, as in it doesn't do anything! The little box comes up stating "Getting ready to sync..." and "We're opening OneDrive on your computer..." but nothing happens. OneDrive doesn't open or start to sync that library.
This seems to be only Internet Explorer. Chrome works as expected. So does Edge. If we return back to the classic SharePoint, the sync button works.
Before I raise a ticket, does anyone else experience this issue?

- Nope, works fine in IE. Most likely going to boil down to a security setting somewhere.

It's been working fine, but it seems to have been doing this since the sync client was updated to build 18.222.1104.0006.
Could they have done something that would need changing the IE security sight assignments?
Doesn't make sense that it works in the classic view and not the modern.
