I'm trying to use Lists to transfer my data from Notion databases. In the Microsoft Lists app, I cannot drag and drop columns to rearrange their order. It will randomly work about 20% of the time, and the remainder of times I'm forced to use the very clunky classic experience to re-number the order of my columns. I've tried it in and out of gridview on multiple types of views. I don't know if this function is working better in SharePoint on my sites, but I much prefer the layout of the List app when working with my data for long periods of time.
