Permissions - How to restrict the deletion?
Dear Community I want my team to be able to add tasks and not be able to delete them. This will prevent anyone from deleting tasks. How can I do this? From the list of tasks, I can granularly restrict the tasks, meaning that TEAM 1 will see some tasks and not all of them. Thank you in advancemarieelisemortinieraDec 19, 2024Copper Contributor192Views0likes1CommentWhere is Planner Hub, Calendar View, Connect to Outlook
What am I missing here? It seems that Planner no longer has a way to view multiple plans and tasks in a calendar. Previously you were able to plan days and the week by seeing multiple projects at one time. It also appears that there is no way to connect Planner to Outlook any more. What??? Seriously?? What is Microsoft thinking here? Just when things were literally starting to actually work together they roll back integration. Dear Microsoft: Integration is key for your ecosystem. I need to be able to use Planner to Plan. I need plans to show up in Todo and I need plans to show up in Outlook. I need them to look similar and have cross functionality. I need Teams to be integrated with all the other apps as well. MS Loop is promising but the lack of integration is astonishing. I can't even get it to show up in Teams. Great that I can add Planner to MS Loop but I can't add Loop to Teams (???). What about Onenote being able to add to Loop. I take hand written notes in Onenote. I can easily add my Onenote Notebook to Teams but I can't add to MS Loop???? Adding MS Loop to Onenote, I guess has some value - maybe, but the value is to be able to see my notebook INSIDE Loop without having to open up OneNote. Each app you created works and has specific functions but the integration needs to allow for seamless workflow instead of jumping around all over the place. I want to sit in planner to plan. But if I am in MS Loop and I am making notes from a meeting I want to be able to just access Planner within MS Loop (which I can and is great). But what if I have an email from a client that has a task within. Sure I can add it to ToDo..but you know what, now I have to do multiple steps to get into Plannner. Integration, integration, integration. Your ecosystem needs to work with high level cross functionality. And stop taking features away that are highly useable and improves workflow. Now I can't share Plans to my outlook???? seriously???? C'mon. This is why people leave your ecosystem. I have read in the forums that people are leaving to go Clickup because they focus on workflow. Personally, I think MS365 has promise and would prefer to stay here but you gotta listen to your customers on how they work and allow for workflows to happen and to customize to people's needs. But we can't work successfully if your products don't really talk to each other well. Your sole mission needs to be unrelentingly to help your customers work effeciently. If you can make me successful I will stay. It is the main reason people go to your competitors. Anything that can make work easier, more efficient, and allows us, YOUR customers, to be more successful will give your customers to stay in your ecosystem.jparker70211Dec 18, 2024Copper Contributor20Views1like0CommentsTime off in MS Planner
Hi everyone. I'm searching for a way to set my team's days off so that the timeline adapt the scheduled times. In two attached images I'm trying to figure out how to customize resources calendar or a new work calendar template model. I read about this functionality for the oldproject for the web but found no way to implement it to planner: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/project-for-the-web/create-and-apply-a-work-calendar Any suggestions? Good morning, I was wondering if there was a way to show in the chart tab the number of tasks completed in a year. If I export my plan to excel I can see creation and completed date so I can get stats that way, but it'd be nice if on the chart tab it could be a filter to apply a custom date completed field to have a dashboard handy to see some stats quickly. Thanks!BusterJ8Dec 17, 2024Copper Contributor8Views0likes0CommentsSingle task to be done by multiple users
With Microsoft Planner, we can add multiple people to a single task, but if anyone of them marks it as complete the whole task will be marked as complete. But I would like to assign a task to my team which each of them needs to complete individually and I would like to keep a track of who has completed and who has not. Is this possible?SolvedAnwesh GangulaDec 16, 2024Iron Contributor148KViews11likes32CommentsNew Planner stuck in dark mode and can't change per-plan backgrounds
Was changed to the new Planner today. I can't figure out how to get it back to light mode. Used to be able to change it in the webapp, but I can't see a feature for it. Also, each plan used to have its own background. That feature seems to have disappeared as well.BrettR20Dec 14, 2024Brass Contributor2.8KViews16likes17CommentsChange date format on Planner (from US to Europe-LatinAmerica)
Hi everyone, Since the update on new planner I lost the "ability" of changing the date format from MM/DD to DD/MM only changing the "en-us" to "en-gb" in the address from the browser. Now the address changed and I'm suffering with this american date format. Any way to change this to DD/MM?pedromsqDec 10, 2024Copper Contributor27Views0likes0CommentsAutomated task creation in Premium plan
Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to automatically create a Planner Premium task from a Teams post. I've spent a day trying to bottom this out, and I've had no luck. I tried using PowerAutomate with the Dataverse connector, but it seems like adding a new row to the Project Tasks table in Dataverse isnota supported way to create new tasks. If this is supported, is there documentation on how to do this? This is a very simple process in Basic plans - doesn't make sense that it's so hard to do this in a product I'm paying for!SolveddavidrhoadsDec 10, 2024Copper Contributor564Views3likes5CommentsPlanner Premium + Power Automate
Not sure if others have experienced this as well, but I am having trouble accessing my planner premium plans in power automate. I’ve come to learn that the Planner actions in power automate do not support planner premium. Instead, the Microsoft Project actions, which are far less useful, support Planner Premium. I was really hoping to use planner premium and power automate together, and so far am deeply disappointed - especially after having waited for my companies admin approval for the tool. Anybody have an workarounds?jakerorvickDec 10, 2024Copper Contributor1.2KViews2likes3Comments
