Question about outgoing traffic.
Hello! Colleagues, There are two MS Exchange 2013 servers located on different sites, united in a DAG. Please tell me, is it possible to configure certain mailboxes to send outgoing messages only from the second server? Logically no. I did not find such functionality in the transport rules. Thank you. Hello everyone! We only have 3 mailboxes left in our Exchange Server 2019 on-premises, the rest was already migrated to Exchange Online (we have a hybrid environment). We cannot move the other mailboxes at the moment. Since a couple of days however we receive the following warning message in the event log of our Exchange Server: Event-ID: 9042 (MSExchange Assistants) "Service MSExchangeMailboxAssistants. File Extraction Time Based Assistant for database <dbname> (<db id>) is exiting a work cycle. No mailboxes were successfully processed. 1 mailboxes were skipped due to errors. 0 mailboxes were skipped due to failure to open a store session. 0 mailboxes were retried. There are 0 mailboxes in this database remaining to be processed." Unfortunately, that's all the error messages we receive and I have no clue how to find out which mailbox is skipped. Or why... How can we find out which mailbox is causing the problem? How can we then solve it? Many thanks! I'm looking for a way to automatically remove the "You don't often get email from" text when a user replies or replies all to an email in Exchange Online (EXO). This text appears because I've enabled the "first contact safety tip" feature to improve email security, and I’d prefer not to disable it. However, some users find this message distracting, especially when it appears repeatedly in email threads. Currently, they have to manually remove it each time they respond. Is there any way to automate the removal of this line in reply or reply-all emails—perhaps through PowerShell, Exchange Online settings, or Power Automate? Any advice or guidance on this would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!90Views0likes1CommentTest connectivity fails Mapi/https
we're using the https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com URL to test external connectivity to our on-prem Exchange 2016 servers. the test failis with MAPI/HTTPS check as follows Looking at the server's event log we found the following error. And running the exchange healthchecker Is it possible that the connectivity test is using an old cypher algorithm or is something wrong in the exchange configuration ?StefanoC66Nov 08, 2024Brass Contributor14Views0likes2CommentsCorrect path in SharedWebConfig.config for ClientAccess
Hello, community. After installing the next update, I received a non-working OWA.As you may know, Microsoft recommends that you create the file SharedWebConfig.config in ClientAccess folder again using the utility DependentAssemblyGenerator.exe. But, when command DependentAssemblyGenerator.exe -exchangePath "%ExchangeInstallPath%\bin" -exchangePath "%ExchangeInstallPath%\ClientAccess" -configFile "%ExchangeInstallPath%\ClientAccess\SharedWebConfig.config" done, I got the nextI am getting the following content in the file <codeBase version="4.2.0.0" href="file:///C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\\bin\AntiXssLibrary.dll" /> or <codeBase version="1.1.5274.28150" href="file:///C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\\bin\AsyncDnsManaged.dll" /> So I have a question. Why does there appear another \ character in the path before \bin? And when I check the server status with script from PSGallery, one of the items is that the file SharedWEbConfig.config is missing. Could this be related?KosmosKamiNov 08, 2024Copper Contributor1.3KViews0likes3CommentsExchange Hybrid connector validation from o365 to on-prem
We recently setup Exchange Hybrid on Classic mode. Completed without errors. During setup we ensure that the Transport Certificate is valid and we assigned our 3rd party cert. We checked on IIS that "Default Front End" certificates are assigned with 3rd party cert. IIS 'Exchange Back End' is using the private "Exchange Server" certificate. When checking Exchange online connectors and validating the O365-Onprem connector, it errors with "450 4.4.317 Cannot connect to remote server [Message=SubjectMismatch Expected Subject: ...... Thumbprint:######" When troubleshooting and Checking the certificate thumbprint from the error message on the server. Determined that the thumbprint belonged to the private certificate used in the 'Exchange Back End' Not sure why it's presenting the wrong certificate and not the front-end certificate? Normal email flow is still working. Appreciate anyone's feedback.DamianM2440Nov 08, 2024Copper Contributor92Views0likes2CommentsDMarc/DKIM Issues
I have enabled DKIM in Microsoft 365, and according to Microsoft 365 Defender page, it is enabled and valid for my Exchange domains. I have created a TXT _dmarc record: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=100; rua=mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons; ruf=email address removed for privacy reasons Yet I keep receiving problem reports like the one below.
