Multiple Tabs Added to Incorrect Workspace
I have 4 workspaces, reserved for different projects. Several have pinned tabs that I frequently use. When I open the Edge icon on my taskbar, only the first workspace opens, and, without me requesting it, it has added about 20 tabs that I don't want, probably from another workspace. Also, Edge is not my default browser. How can I prevent these tabs from opening? John
Microsoft Edge Appearance Theme Resets Every Time It Is Closed
I have this issue that, every time I close the Microsoft Edge, the browser resets the theme to light theme and I have to go to edge://settings/appearance to reset it to Dark. Has anyone faced this issue? It does not break functionality but it's really annoying. Hello, I would like to report a regression affecting Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Starting with version 145.0.3800.70, and still present in the current stable version 145.0.3800.82, closing the Edge window causes the desktop icons to flicker for about one second, as if the desktop is being refreshed. This issue occurs only on Windows 10. On Windows 11, the same versions of Edge do not produce this behavior. Hello, I’m experiencing a persistent issue with Microsoft Edge Workspaces and I’m looking for guidance from the Edge team or community. Whenever I try to open or create a Workspace, I get the error: “Unable to load workspaces”. What makes this issue particularly concerning is that it happens: - On multiple Windows PCs - On a Linux PC (Ubuntu) - On Edge Stable and Edge Canary - Always with the same Microsoft account Troubleshooting already attempted: - Sign out / sign in - Full Edge reset - Cache and cookies cleared - Sync disabled and re-enabled - Sync data reset - Verified no Workspaces folder exists in OneDrive - Tested with Edge Canary Since the error reproduces consistently across different machines and operating systems, this does not appear to be a local installation issue. It looks like a corruption or invalid state of the Edge Workspaces data stored in my Microsoft account. Unfortunately, this is a free account, so I have no direct channel to request a backend reset of the Workspaces data. Has anyone from the Edge team seen similar cases? Is there a way to trigger a reset or cleanup of Edge Workspaces data at the account level? Any help or escalation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
[Request Feature] Ability to change PWA name on Apps Manager page.
At this point we do want to make any website behave like an application. It only has to be added as an application with the possibility of setting a name from the beginning. This is useful when you have more than one profile in the browser. I can install the web X for profile 1 with the name X-1 and the same web X for profile 2 with the name X-2. But the problem is when I install a PWA whose name is already set. And it is not possible to change it from any page. So when I want to install Outlook for my 3 profiles, I'm left with the same name for all 3 profiles preventing quick identification. My proposal would be to allow the App Manager to change the name of the PWA and thus better identify it from the start menu and also from the shortcuts that are created.
Regression: Vertical tabs no longer collapse in fullscreen (F11) after latest Edge update
After the latest Microsoft Edge update, the vertical tab sidebar no longer collapses when entering fullscreen mode (F11). Previously, when fullscreen was enabled, the vertical tabs would automatically collapse or hide, allowing the webpage to use the full screen space. Now the vertical tab bar remains visible, reducing usable screen area. Steps to reproduce: Enable Vertical Tabs in Microsoft Edge Open any website Press F11 to enter fullscreen mode Observe that the vertical tab sidebar remains visible Expected behavior: Vertical tabs should collapse or automatically hide in fullscreen mode, as they did in earlier versions. Actual behavior: The vertical tab sidebar stays visible during fullscreen instead of collapsing. Additional testing: Tested in a Guest profile (fresh profile with default settings); issue still occurs Happens across different websites Restarting Edge does not fix the issue Edge version: 145.0.3800.58 (Official build) (64-bit)
Edge with Bing - "Microsoft Bing trending suggestions in the address bar"
I would like to remove the suggestions from the search bar however when this setting has been disabled, instead of completely removing the news suggestions it has shifted to the right, taking up half the space and the other half on the left is my previous searches. Anyone know how to completely remove any news trending suggestions and not simply have it appear despite being disabled ? If not, I'll just swap to google and block Bing for myself / other users. Thank you
