Personal Microsoft Account stuck to old Teams‑Free Azure AD tenant - identity corruption

Your personal Microsoft account and Microsoft Entra identity are separate objects, despite using the same email address. Consumer sign-in can work while Office, OneDrive, or Azure selects a work/school context. Open a private window and open My Account for that tenant using its tenant ID; select Organizations, then Leave. If it is a guest association and self-service leaving is allowed, this removes the relationship. If Leave is absent or fails, Microsoft documents no client-side method to delete that object. Deleting the tenant requires a Global Administrator and deletion checks to pass. Because no administrator remains, request a Microsoft Entra tenant-lockout case with ownership verification, not a consumer OneDrive repair. Include the tenant ID, tenant domain, sign-in name, error correlation IDs with UTC times, and all four case numbers. Microsoft’s public guidance does not expose a named “Microsoft Account Identity Team” route, so request Entra ownership recovery and routing confirmation.
