How to enable 'Never Combine taskbar buttons'. Windows 11 ?
omersayli We appreciate you trying to help. However, it is true that sharing third-party software solutions is not allowed here as per our code of conduct, so we've removed those external links.
Deleted Please note that if you see external third-party software solutions linked, feel free to click "Report Inappropriate Content" - as you've done with other posts - and we will look into it.
For all - feel free to post this feedback on the Feedback Hub which is the main place the Windows team reads and addresses feedback.
Please note that I'm a community manager for Tech Community. I am not on the Windows team and can't address your Windows feedback in this thread in any way.

EricStarker minor correction to your reply: you say "which is the main place the Windows team reads and addresses feedback."
That should read ""which is the main place the Windows team reads feedback."
"Never combine taskbar labels" has been by far the most requested feature of the Windows 11 UI for years now, way ahead of any other feature request, yet Microsoft refuse to even comment on it. I think that ignoring your users' number 1 complaint means Microsoft doesn't get to claim they 'address' anything...

Hi , jonwright
"

I've been here for a long time and there is no direct response from the Microsoft team to user posts, MTC is not technical support - it's just that as users we discuss 🙂

Deleted I was specifically replying to EricStarker - suggesting that the Windows team has any interest in consumer feedback is a bit disingenuous and I think a bit of realism is in order. I never in a month of Sundays expected any kind of response from Microsoft, but thank you for the feedback.

And I have posted in feedback hub and so far no response- DeletedFeb 13, 2023
Microsoft employees are helpful and responsive, but most often it concerns the Blog, which is why it was my idea to create a new Blog space.
This is an example:

When referring to MS, it is not the employees in general that are of concern. It is those that signed off on this abomination of no never combine.
The grunts just have to do what they are told in not engaging. There is an old saying "The Fish Stinks from the Head" and it is true in MS as it is everywhere else.

Thank you for your reply, but we are in the Windows space, I think no one expects a solution to this problem - > here on the MTC Forum, but threads like this deserve a response from the Windows team. Clarification - at least if this is on the roadmap for Windows11 - > lack of information is a reason for speculation!
Below I will add an excerpt from the MTC Code:
" Our community is a diverse community of people from many backgrounds, industries, countries, and cultures who choose to spend their time sharing their experiences with using Microsoft's Products and services. It is a central destination for education and thought leadership on best practices, product news, live events, and roadmap "

Writing feedback - nothing helps for now, the latest build of Dev. Insider ->introduces only such corrections:https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2023/02/15/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-25300/
"The ability to show seconds in the clock on the system tray, first introduced with Build 25247, should return after updating to Build 25300 if it had disappeared for you after updating to Build 25295 last week.
Fixed an issue that was causing taskbar to be cut off after resolution changes.
We fixed an issue where when hovering over app icons on the taskbar could switch window focus unexpectedly. "

At least those third-party software links are actually trying to help fellow Windows 11 users restore the functionality they lost when Microsoft removed the Never Combine Taskbar option. I have yet to receive a response to the Microsoft Feedback Hub post I submitted over 9 months ago about this issue, so this forum is the only place I have heard anyone provide an actual solution while MS ignores our pleas. If you want to help the community, please forward our wishes to the correct Windows development team that can address our repeatedly-voiced concerns.

JMc_79Often you can edit the registry if you want to enable or disable features like that ( it doesn't require 3rd party software. ) If you use a lot of scripts, and you chain them in succession, never combine taskbar buttons is really useless and laggy / slow, although you can enable this at your own risk. Here are some powershell scripts that do just that: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-11/ungroup-items-on-the-taskbar-in-windows-11/m-p/2904818/highlight/true#M1019
- Ken_HaddenFeb 21, 2023Brass ContributorI've tried the registry settings. All they did was completely disable the start menu. I believe those scripts were written for a different edition of windows 11 (Home vs. Pro or something). I had to roll back the changes.
We need an official setting that works universally.
