Sadly, after last update the explorer patcher caused unusable start button.
I used it... but after the update many problems with the Taskbar started and start button couldn't be used at all. It took me maybe 15 minutes till I found out that it is because of Explorer Patcher!
I don't recommend to use it as of now 😞

Hello.
I should've seen this thread before installing the explorer patcher. My screen's blinking nonstop, and the taskbar's unusable.
The only way I could access things is via task manager. What should I do? Control panel won't open via task manager and I can't seem to uninstall it 😞- Sulina_777Apr 05, 2023Copper Contributor
RyanNE021 Same happened to me, no fix and had to do a re-installation of windows

I have used total commander for uninstalling the Explorer Patcher.
After using 3-4 versions of it and each causing failing of taskbar after a minor windows11 patch I had enough of it, paid a few euros for program "Start all back" and since then I had no problems. I have also added the "T-Clock" add on for a good measure to have configurable clocks - omersayliMar 15, 2023Brass Contributor
Hi,
From task manager, on the above you will see "Run new Task", in the opening window, write "cmd" and select the box "Create this task with administrative privileges". Then go to the ExplorerParcher folder
>cd "c:\Program Files\ExplorerPatcher"
Run
>ep_setup.exe \uninstall

Hi Elboyler
"It seems it's time to get back to w10 - i see no reason for using w11 anymore."
I'm still working on Windows10 and I'm looking forward to improving Windows11's productivity.
I can not understand why users first install Windows11 -> then "improve" with some add-ons that restore the functionality of Windows10.
After all, there is information that the new Windows has been changed and does not support some
Function.
- drdougMay 10, 2022Iron Contributorthe update is accepted as a normal w10 update and also down the track w10 will not be supported so we end up with a vulnerable pc.
The best way long term is to NEVER buy ANYTHING microsoft. Ensure this type of behaviour (making unwanted changes for the sake of change) costs them sales. So no MS keyboards etc, no MS surface pro etc. Also let MS know you will protest buy boycotting their products.
All these changes should be available only if you accept them and all be reversible. You should be able to have W11 with the W10 features and have even more from W7 available along with what some third party tweekers allow.
We should not lose a large amount of productivity because the developers like to change what doesn't need changing.
- Peter_SvancarekMay 01, 2022Brass ContributorI'm testing the "StartAllBack" third party patch now. So far, so good. It looks like Explorer Patcher caused also WLAN unexpected crashes. Well.. the Patcher worked before, but after last update something changed making it crashing the WLAN driver.
