Item Scheduling for Document Set content type

Hello Everyone,

Will the Item Scheduling work for Document Set content type? I have enabled Item Scheduling in a document library that uses the Document Set content type and i see that

1) The Scheduling Start Date and End Date values are not getting populated with the given values in list view. But, getting loaded in the Edit screen

2) When i approve the item, Automatically the status of item is changed to Approved instead of Scheduled as the start date & time is later period

Can anyone provide me some leads here.
