Verification for partner very difficult, no response from support at all
Hi,
I'm an MSP, trying to get verified on Microsofts programs, to be able to support and supply my users through distributors.
Unfortunately, this is where it ends, I did everything Microsoft asked me:
- Sign up as a partner
- Filled in the details
- Received a rejection, was asked to supply domain verification, supplied this
- Then now am denied as followed: "Your verification is rejected because of usage of restricted domain. Please update your email in Profile Info section with company domain address to get it verified."
So, first I had to supply domain details, then, after this, now you're still rejecting this based on what? No proper feedback, neither is anyone replying to the tickets I've opened relating to this. Ticket #s:
- 2307250040004588
- 2307270040001544
- 2308050040001621
So, the deal is as followed:
I'm registered as Dyk Media, and I do business as DykIT. So, my registration is showing Dyk Media in the CRO here in Ireland, and this is what I have explained in the documentation provided..
+ I provided utility bill, but, again this is denied without any option to talk to someone, nor, being able to understand the denial. Why doesn't anyone read ticket, or, read the attached documentation.
This is so frustrating, it almost makes you not want to deliver any MS products, and being able to supply users/companies, with the right support structures as an MSP.
Mike

UPDATE: As my company name was slightly different, this was the cause of it not being accepted.
Since adjusting this correctly, I resubmitted it, and it's now accepted and approved.
I think this is beneficial information for others, as it really has to match up everything that is within your registered details.

PaulineN yes, the domain paperwork must match your registered partner account name down to the letter!!

Unfortunately this isn't necessarily true either. There is no guarantee that a matching business name / domain paperwork will get you through.
I've currently renewed my domain just to regenerate an invoice where everything seems to match exact;y. Uploaded that. Portal still says "rejected".
The site doesn't even make sense. Portal says "rejected". Account Verification sidebar says "Document uploaded successfully, please wait 3-5 business days for verification of your document(s)." So which is it? Has it already been rejected instantly? If not, shouldn't it indicate that it's pending? Who knows.
Whole thing is a complete mess.

Same issues here, I'm at the end of my tether over this. Been a partner for over 20 years. All I did was add CSP to my agreement and now all my verification is gone. Sent them:
Certificate of Incorporation
Dun & Bradstreet information
Domain invoice
Company bank statement
All I get back constantly is an email written in poor English saying:
"It seems that for business verification provided documents [Certificate Of Incorporation.pdf] does not contain address and [Domain Registration.pdf] does not contain the entity name that is appears on your partner profile.
However, for domain verification, it seems like domain in one place and in another place domain .We need more document that lists Entity/Username and domain as it is stated on your account. If not possible to provide additional documentation, please update your account information to match with document already provided."
None of my information has changed in 20 years.
I have tried ringing them and all I get back is "For security reasons, we are unable to communicate via phone and should continue via our ticket system and email.
If you would like to complete the process, please email us the required information previously requested. "
I really don’t understand what “security reason” precludes them from talking to their partners over the phone, even my bank allows me to talk to them, I can talk to Inland Revenue over the phone, why can’t I talk to Microsoft Partner Operations?
I don’t know what happened with Partner support but its absolutely poor now, they are really damaging their reputation and I'm seriously considering ditching my whole partner arrangement, its simply not worth the waste of time and aggravation now.

Lucky you to get a good outcome!
I'm an ISV that "had" and Action Pack subscription, but going through the nightmare of trying to renew. Already been 2 months. I decided to update my business address on the partner site BEFORE I clicked renew.
Warning to anyone else who considers updating their business address on the partner site before renewing a subscription - Don't Do It!
As it stands now - I'm an ISV that uses the Microsoft Stack to deliver product to my clients - but I don't Have a Development Stack. I'm stuck in the frustrating world of Microsoft Red Tape verification with an account that is "not verified". Perhaps they've let some AI bot do this and I'm stuck in some nueral feedback loop?? who knows... All I know is I'm looking at other stacks now!

AngryConsultant hang in there, they will hopefully get to your ticket soon! Sorry for your (and everyone else) that is having issues with verification. I don't have access to their systems to check your ticket status, so we just have to be patient. Sorry I don't have more help to offer.
