Search function on Onedrive for iOS not working
I have noticed that the search function on Onedrive for IPhone has stopped working and wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. I contacted MS support directly from within the app and received a reply which acknowledges that it is a real problem that they are working on but who knows when it will be resolved.

STILL no movement on this??? Come on Microsoft!! I am a Microsoft Partner/CSP... you are losing end users to Google Workspace left and right!! Google Drive search works perfectly on iOS!! What is the issue? What is a workaround?? Get off of your assess, stop trying to come up with new pointless admin centers and fix your core applications so that our users can perform basic functions (like searching their files) in the office AND on their mobile devices!

Absolutely ridiculous... FIRE the developers of OneDrive for mobile and start over with it... hire some Google Drive developers!!!!!!!

Strange that my reply disappears, I‘ll try again.
This is an issue with one of my 5 private family accounts. It doesn‘t matter if I use a browser or an app - search doesn‘t work.
I have opened a second ticket with MS because the first one got closed without a solution.
At least i got a confirmation this time:
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft OneDrive Support Team. I hope this email finds you well.

I have a business premium partner account... no issue with browsers... just iOS... have cleared cache, logged out/in, deleted app, restarted, etc. It is an indexing issue or complete API failure it seems... like I said... consult with some of the Google Drive developers... I never had an issue on that platform.... it would cost my business tons of time and money to migrate back, but I'm seriously considering it. BTW, even for technicians and partners, the onedrive/sharepoint/teams confusion is ridiculous... onedrive was wedged into a 30-year-old sharepoint design that still hasn't changed - so sharing gets wrapped around the axle so fast with conflicts here and there with no intelligence to let you know where the issue lies... MS needs to re-vamp their whole MS365 file system from the ground-up.

Btw. I have the same problem if i access my privat Onedrive from any browser.
My Onedrive for Business does not have the issue.
Update: I have an Office 365 family subscription with 5 users, only one user has the issue.
I raised a new ticket with Microsoft and got following answer (translated from german):

I reported this same search issue. i was told it's a known fault and Microsoft are looking into it with utmost priority. They are pushing all sorts of fancy AI technology but cannot get a simple search working in a file storage solution ? I'm not renewing my OneDrive subscription when it runs out in August. It's utterly pathetic from Microsoft.

Contacted MS several times via different forms as this problem exists for weeks now (iPhone / iPad / web search). No response at all. MS is bloody useless

I am having the same problem on my Android phone. I just searched for a word that I know is the name of a file and it did not find it but I was able to navigate to the file and open it. I'm guessing this is a cross platform problem. By the way I am replying to this message because I cannot figure out how to make a new thread. Do you have any tips for that?

Can you share details of Microsoft's response? Did they provide a ticket or issue number? This is a big problem and we have just found it as well.

I opened a service request number 7071813359through the app and they responded as follows.
“Our engineering team is working diligently to resolve this issue. I assure you that we are giving it our utmost priority. Currently we do not have an ETA on this issue. Your patience and cooperation are highly appreciated during this time. Please know that we are committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible.”
They subsequently closed the ticket
