Windows / Mac: OneDrive only syncs folders inside the main OneDrive directory. To back up only one specific folder, move it into your OneDrive folder and turn off "Known Folder Move" (Desktop, Documents, Pictures) in Settings > Sync and backup > Manage backup. After that, only the folder inside OneDrive will sync.

Android: Go to Settings > Camera backup > Back up device folders. You can enable only the specific media folder you want (e.g., Camera, Screenshots). Arbitrary folder backup isn't supported.

Important limitation: OneDrive mobile does not fully support syncing arbitrary folders like desktop OneDrive does.

It mainly supports: Camera/photo backup, Manual upload, Limited Android media folders.

iPhone / iPad: No automatic backup of arbitrary folders. You can only use Camera Upload or manually upload files. But you generally cannot auto-sync one arbitrary local folder continuously due to iOS sandbox limitations.

Admin: Use the OneDrive Admin Center or Intune to centrally control KFM, sync restrictions, and device folder backup policies. From the admin side, you can:

Control KFM deployment (silently enable/disable for users)

    Restrict which accounts can sync

    Set file type/size limits

Configure mobile app protection policies via Intune/MAM
