How to block uploading certain file types in Microsoft Teams?
Dears,
Is there any option to block uploading certain file types for example (.exe, .dll) on Microsoft Teams/OneDrive for Work/SharePoint Online?
Thanks
- Hi,
No, there is option to block files that can be uploaded to SharePoint/OneDrive.

You can block file types that users should not be able to sync using onedrive sync client (both to OneDrive and SharePoint).

There is an uservoice request to be able to block formats.

SRAJAKUMARM365AZURE yes, it's possible, and you can do that.
we have multiple approaches to block the file upload in OneDrive online ie Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps / Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and the user will be notified with a custom message
follow the below article.
