Cannot hide gallery in "focus on content" or "full screen" mode

We are sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue with focus mode in meetings. The feature team is aware of the issue and has an internal fix in testing. We'll keep you posted as soon as the fix is rolling out.
Update: Fix is now rolling out to production.
The most recent regression appears to be fixed, as of v1.4.00.35564. Focus on Content once again fully occupies the *width* of the window/screen. Thank you for restoring the previous functionality - very much appreciated.
I would still prefer to return to the actual fullscreen mode that was lost when New Meeting Experience became the Only Meeting Experience some time ago. Previously, prior to NME, it was a true fullscreen display, with meeting controls only coming into view upon certain mouse movements. Now, the controls are fixed at the top of the screen, thus limiting the vertical space available to meeting content. The preferred approach (display meeting controls only upon certain mouse movements) would be similar to most video players. Is it at all possible that we'll get back to the Old Meeting Experience, or at least that "true fullscreen" aspect of it? Please?

dlivezey Thank you for the information! I checked my version and it's updated, but the Focus on content is still not works. My profile pic is still stay there and the content size stays the same... 😞
I don't know what should I do to resolve this issue.
- I think it is a rolling fix. Mine was updated 2 days ago to the version containing the fix, but the fix was only applied today. We just have to wait.
- From the additional feedback everyone is providing I would agree, probably dependent on which build your IT department has deployed.
Still sounds like though regardless of build, Microsoft is still missing the message that a true full screen is needed (that has no black bars/space anywhere on the screen with a hover menu)- The issue has been fixed now for me now in version 1.4.00.35564 (64-bit). It was last updated on 1/25/2022.
I had to manually check for updated in Teams today to get this version (wasn't automatic yet).
