Cannot hide gallery in "focus on content" or "full screen" mode
We are sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue with focus mode in meetings. The feature team is aware of the issue and has an internal fix in testing. We'll keep you posted as soon as the fix is rolling out.
Update: Fix is now rolling out to production.
I have the same problem from few weeks. I reported the matter using the feedback feature built into teams... I was contacted by someone from microsoft and after providing all the information, what I was told is that, that is the expected way for the app to work.
This is very annoying and reduces user productivity. Full screen should be Full screen without bells and whistles.
The previous version was working well with Full screen and Focus on content features. They made is only worse over time, which is unacceptable.
Laptop users have hard time viewing the shared content. They should fix it as top priority !!
Other helpless users like me, there are two options...
1) as mentioned by some users, use Ctrl + scroll button to zoom in/out.
2) use the teams.microsoft.com web version. As of recent, full screen mode is working fine in web browser (as it worked before the updates).. hope they don't spoil that one too...
