- dlivezeyJan 28, 2022Brass ContributorThe most recent regression appears to be fixed, as of v1.4.00.35564. Focus on Content once again fully occupies the *width* of the window/screen. Thank you for restoring the previous functionality - very much appreciated.
I would still prefer to return to the actual fullscreen mode that was lost when New Meeting Experience became the Only Meeting Experience some time ago. Previously, prior to NME, it was a true fullscreen display, with meeting controls only coming into view upon certain mouse movements. Now, the controls are fixed at the top of the screen, thus limiting the vertical space available to meeting content. The preferred approach (display meeting controls only upon certain mouse movements) would be similar to most video players. Is it at all possible that we'll get back to the Old Meeting Experience, or at least that "true fullscreen" aspect of it? Please?- Lippa219Jan 28, 2022Copper Contributor
dlivezey Thank you for the information! I checked my version and it's updated, but the Focus on content is still not works. My profile pic is still stay there and the content size stays the same... 😞
I don't know what should I do to resolve this issue.
- francispinedaJan 28, 2022Copper ContributorI think it is a rolling fix. Mine was updated 2 days ago to the version containing the fix, but the fix was only applied today. We just have to wait.
- CrytidesJan 28, 2022Copper ContributorThanks for letting us know! upgrading my version to the one you mentioned did bring back full screen mode!!!
- dlivezeyJan 28, 2022Brass ContributorWell, let's not get carried away. Let's just say it brought back "almost full screen" mode! 🙂
- joejettaJan 26, 2022Copper ContributorThis issue is a big pain. If you guys could also persist the selections we make (e.g. full screen mode, gallery, etc.) between users sharing their screens? We have meetings where multiple people share there screen during the process and every time we get someone else sharing their screen I have to hide the gallery again or set it to full screen. Supper annoying.

joejetta I agree completely. It used to be that whenever Microsoft had a new product, it was crap until they got to version 3 when they started to do usability studies and figured out what users really wanted the products to do. It would be nice if they could just skip ahead and fix these things now.
- Chilli7Jan 21, 2022Brass ContributorDear Jan Å teberl,
I'm very happy that you found these posts and take it serious as I have sometimes the feeling that the end customer problems keep being unheard.
I want to emphasis the importance of a working full screen mode especially in times of home office. Currently we are left with either asking the presenter to zoom in so much that the overview is lost or to try hard to decipher what we actually see on the screen from 20cm distance.
Please make sure that full screen mode test is included in your validation tests. And if it was already included please investigate why the test was inefficient and improve it. - frank0606Jan 20, 2022Copper Contributorhi there! seems this issue appeared in the last update. When do you expect to have a fix deployed? or do you think it could be possible to rollback to the last functional version? thanks

Same problem here in Germany: Focus mode disables all videos in gallery but self video. Deleting cache did not help. An ASAP fix would be quite appreciated by our users, as shared screens are much to small with the gallery enabled. - Lippa219Jan 19, 2022Copper Contributor
Jan_Steberl Dear Jan, do you have any update about the test you mentioned? Any planned due date? It's an issue in our company as well that we can't see close enough the presented screen. Thanks in advance!
- edempsey1066Jan 18, 2022Copper ContributorJust as an FYI, this is not only an issue with the focus mode (although it is related). There appears to be no way to hide the gallery when in a webinar, or an MS Team Meeting. If this is the same issue that you are referencing, thank you for the reply. We all look forward to the fix.
