Microsoft Copilot does not have a fixed, public limit on the number of emails it can retrieve in a single interaction, but its behavior is governed by a few practical and technical constraints. For example;
1. Time range (emails from December 2024)
2. Thread Depth (emails from December 2024 to February 2025 for Project X)
NOTE:
While there’s no hard cap mentioned in any documentation but Copilot typically retrieves and processes;
- Upto few dozen emails in a single query
- Recent or pinned messages are prioritized
