Can a reseller set exact customer totals on an Azure private offer?

When we create a multiperiod private offer, we enter our markup as a percentage. Sometimes the customer total Azure calculates is a few cents off the signed quote, even when we use all eight decimal places.

Is there a way to set the exact customer price for each period? If not, how are other resellers handling these rounding differences?

This sounds like the channel-partner pricing step of a multiparty private offer, with multiple pricing periods. The important question is whether that step supports a fixed customer amount per period, rather than only a markup percentage.

I cannot confirm a supported exact-total override for the screen you describe. Eight decimal places in the markup do not necessarily guarantee a matching final amount if Marketplace rounds intermediate prices. The precise rounding step needs confirmation.

For the already signed quote, raise a Partner Center Marketplace support case with one concrete example: the affected period, partner price, markup entered, expected customer total and total displayed. Ask them to confirm:

    • Whether the channel partner can set an absolute customer price for each period, through the UI or a supported API.
    • Where rounding occurs and whether the target amount is achievable with the permitted markup precision.
    • If it is not achievable, what supported correction process applies before the offer is accepted.

If the reseller step only supports markup, ask the originating software vendor whether the underlying offer pricing can be revised to produce the agreed customer totals. That would need recalculation and agreement between both parties; it is not simply a display adjustment.

For future quotes, calculating the Marketplace amounts before signature avoids this mismatch. For this signed quote, do not assume an off-platform credit will correct the Marketplace offer or Azure invoice—confirm the permitted handling first.
