Teams Rooms booking send reply to "wrong" user
Hi,
I have an issue that I don't know if it's a error or "by design" issue but here is the explanation.
Scenario 1
user A within Tenant A create a meeting and invite user X (Y,Z) within tenant A. Then user X within tenant A want to book a Teams Room, user X forward the meeting from user A to the Room, the reply of the booking sends to user A.
Scenario 2
User A within Tenant A get a meeting request from user B (external) in tenant B (external) and wants to book a Teams room in Tenant A, forward the meeting to the room, then the user A in tenant A won't get any reply from the room, the reply would go to user B in tenant B.
Conclusion
When you book a room, the room will always send the reply to the user who created the meeting. This is in my opinion either an error or a design error. As, the user that want to book the room will never know if the room is booked or not for the meeting.
Solution?
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

- Forwarding a meeting does not change the organizer, who in turn is the user that will receive any responses from the room itself. So i'd wager it's by design.
- Patrik1972Copper ContributorYes, unfortunally. I think this is something Microsoft has to change as the user that want's to book the room will never know if the room accepted or declined. The only solution to this as I can see now is to let all users have read access to the rooms calendar.
