I dont have UNIQUE function

Good morning, Excel community!

I need your help because I've noticed that I don't have the UNIQUE() function in Excel. I know there are other ways to find unique values in Excel, such as going to Data > Remove Duplicates, but I wanted to know why I don't have access to this function. I have the latest version of Excel, and I don't understand why it's not available to me, whereas my coworker does have it.

I'm not sure if it could be because I have Microsoft Office Standard 2019. I work as a data analyst and, if so, what functions am I missing out on for data validation? What are the new functions that I don’t have access to?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • UNIQUE is not available in Excel 2019. You'd need to upgrade to Office 2021, Office 2024 or Microsoft 365.

There are many other new functions: LET, LAMBDA, TEXTSPLIT, TEXTJOIN, TEXTBEFORE, TEXTAFTER, TAKE, DROP, SCAN, MAP, ARRAYTOTEXT, BYROW, BYCOL, TOROW, TOCOL, CHOOSECOLS, CHOOSEROWS, ...
