Benefit expiration tied to membership end date
The benefit end date is now aligned with the membership end date. (Source) That means, if my Partner Core Benefits expire on day X, the Microsoft 365 internal use benefits also expire on day X. On the surface, this makes perfect sense, but, in practice, this makes renewal extremely inconvenient: Partner programs cannot be renewed before they expire, so I can only renew them on day X or later. Microsoft 365 subscriptions must be renewed before they expire, so I must renew them no later than day X. That means that the person responsible for renewing these things must work on day X - no matter if it's a week-end, a national holiday or a long-planned vacation. Getting sick or having a power outage on that day is out of the question as well, or all the Microsoft 365 mail accounts will stop working. Can Microsoft do something to make this a little less stressful for us poor sysadmins? Either add a few grace days to the expiry of Microsoft 365, or allow us to voluntarily renew our partner subscriptions earlier - I don't mind losing a few days of benefits, if it help ensure that everything can be done well ahead of time.SolvedHeinziATAug 20, 2026Iron Contributor272Views1like4CommentsFY27 Distributor Incentives - Few Questions
Dear team, We are a Distributor and need to understand better the mechanics of the FY27 incentives. More specifically, please find below the questions we need to sort the soonest possible: Regarding the growth accelerator, is there any minimum threshold above which we are eligible to receive the Disti rebate or the growth applies even to one new additional licenses? Again, regarding the growth accelerator, the Disti rebates applies only to the new licenses added or to the new total number of licenses following the additions? Example: current config. with 100x ME5. We plan to add 100x more ME5. Will we have to apply the Disti rebate on the new 100x ME5 or to the total 200 ME5? Thank you so much for your clarifications that are crucial for our business planning! Dear team, We are a Distributor and we need to complete a tenant merge. Following that scenario, could you please enlighten me what will happen with our current Solutions Partner Designation (SPD) we have recently renewed? Will we still be able to utilize all benefits coming from the SPD until their next renewal, during which all benefits & SPDs will be counted in total as we will be encountered as "one organization" following our tenant merge completion? Much appreciated in advance for your prompt and critical support to close this the soonest possible. Hello all, What's up with the CSP Technical Training and Microsoft Partner Community Q&A Call's? Both calls have been cancelled since January. I believe that I read something about Microsoft restructuring the community engagements but I can't find where I read it, or any updates on what is happening. Are the calls coming back? Are they being replaced by another type of community call? Thanks! -jonSolvedjonwbstr24Mar 31, 2026Iron Contributor160Views2likes1CommentNew updates to developer benefits! February 2026
As part of the February 13 expansion to Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program benefits offerings—including partner benefits packages, ISV Success packages, Solutions Partner designations, and specializations—Microsoft has updated developer benefits included in the partner program, along with how these benefits are accessed. The Visual Studio license included in all benefits offerings is now exclusively Visual Studio Enterprise IDE. This updated license includes many existing benefits such as Dometrain, Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Concierge chat, and more, but some key changes have been made to deliver a more secure, compliant, and higher value experience for partners. The per-user monthly Azure credits have been replaced with Azure bulk credits at the organization level, accessible through the Partner Center benefits dashboard; this pooled model gives partners great flexibility with credit allocation while better aligning with Microsoft Azure development needs and reducing unused credits. Additionally, access to some legacy on-premises software downloads and transferrable product keys will no longer be included in partner program developer benefits to support clearer entitlement boundaries; these entitlements remain available through appropriate licensing channels. It’s important to note that these changes apply only to partner program benefits accessed through the Visual Studio subscription portal and do not affect paid Visual Studio subscriptions or SKUs. These changes were enacted to ensure that partners can better utilize Azure credits across teams, promote compliant use of partner program benefits, and simplify benefits management while preserving access to core developer tools. It may require a change management plan, so we encourage you to develop one. Microsoft remains deeply committed to our partners and to continuing to invest in your success and growth by regularly reviewing and updating benefits to support customer impact and innovation. Please review the Microsoft Learn page for full details on this update and download the benefits guide for a full list of updated benefits.JillArmourMicrosoftFeb 17, 2026Community Manager2.5KViews0likes4CommentsDynamics 365 Sales, Customer Services and Field service for IUR instead Sandbox
Hello, we are Microsoft partners for about 20 years. All the time, we have been paying for the Gold, or now the highest tier of Microsoft Partner benefit package. There was a recent change in benefits, that it removed old Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service) + Marketing..., to equivalent, BUT only Partner sandbox. Meaning, the product is not any more Internal Use rights, and is forbidden to run production, instead only test, demo, development partner sandbox license exists. Please, understand this is huge impact on benefit package, and you cannot tell me - this is an improvement. Asking the Microsoft Partner program, and Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and Field service, product groups to review the decision and bring back the internal use rights (IUR) production license grade back for Microsoft Partners...Solved264Views0likes5Comments
