Becoming a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner
I am looking for help with completing the process for signing my company up as a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner. I have been directed to https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/partnership, where I select "Become a Partner". I go through the process as instructed but hit a dead end when I arrive at the "Join a program..." https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/dashboard/account/exp/enrollment/programselector/basicpartnernetwork/firmographic/options/101/1004. Note that this page offers only two options (Bethesda Partner Program, Windows and Xbox), neither of which is appropriate for me and both of which I am not eligible to join (even if I wanted to). For the program for which I am interested (Microsoft AI Cloud Partner) the page says "...Sign in again using your work account." So it may be that the site does not recognize my account as a work account. Unfortunately, the instructions provided for creating a work account (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/mpn-overview and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/intro-to-cloud-partner-program-membership) direct me back to the partner page at the beginning of this post. So I am stuck in an infinite loop. I have reached out to partner support, Azure support and Azure sales. Everyone directs me to the same above referenced partner page and/or advises me to log a support request. When I did the latter I received a response with a link to the same partner page. I would greatly appreciate any guidance beyond a link to the partner page that is not working for me. I acknowledge that the root cause MAY be my own user error. But a few minutes with a knowledgable guide would be a lot more productive than many hours of detective work.GregReiserJun 12, 2024Copper Contributor2.4KViews0likes9CommentsMultichannel Support - EA's and Direct CSPs
If you go to this article, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/multichannel, you will see that it states near the bottom the following: “For a customer who already has a subscription to Microsoft Azure from another channel (such as Advisor, Open, or EA), create a new Azure subscription in Partner Center, manually enter the subscription details, and then cancel the individual services or the entire subscription. Azure CSP can coexist with different channels.” Well, we have a customer on an Enterprise Agreement (EA) through SHI, and my company is a direct CSP. So, I am wondering if anyone out there can answer the following: 1) Can you please elaborate on how we as a Direct CSP executes this process? 2) Will we be able to recognize revenue from this? 3) Any other critical pieces of information I should know? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I could very well be missing something obvious, but recently, there was a change to the Azure Spending (NCE) tab. It now only shows clients that have a Budget set in the CSP portal for a client. This can be easily replicated by deleting the budget amount from a client and it disappears from the Azure Spending (NCE) tab. Even if the client has thousands in monthly spend, they do not show up. No budget = No Alert if an Azure Sub is compromised = Partner pays for the resource spend themselves. When I created a case through Partner Center, I was told to go through all of our clients manually and set a budget and to constantly keep checking to see if new Subscriptions had been added, or I could check each client one by one using the Cost Management screen under each Subscription. This would be fine if we only had a few clients, but at over 5000 entries, this is not an acceptable workaround. Is there some way of downloading an Azure Spend report that shows ALL clients and not just ones that already have a Budget set? Thank you.NeedInfoJan 23, 2024Copper Contributor3.9KViews1like7CommentsPenalty when cancelling an Azure Reserved Instance PAYG subscription
Dear community, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP located in Greece, and we have the following requests from one of our partners: 1. Could you kindly advise if our partners can cancel all the existing RIs with immediate effect? 2.If the answer on point 1 yes and they can do so, then will there be a cancellation fee/penalty upon cancelling the Reserved Instances? Thank you in advance for your prompt response as we need to sort it the soonest! Hello! I am reaching out because I am trying to use an Infographic from Build and Modernize AI Apps Azure Resources. In specific a PMC Marketing Campaign. The infographic is not working as expected, it is protected by Information Rights Management and I cannot request access either. https://partner.microsoft.com/es-MX/asset/collection/build-and-modernize-ai-apps#/ Hope you can bring some light into this! Hello, We are a solutions partner that is looking at obtaining a couple of advanced specializations in the Azure tracks. I have a couple of queries that I think are unclear from the checklists: In the case of required evidence from customer projects for the various controls in the audit checklist, is it acceptable to have evidence from multiple customers for the various controls? Or do we need to satisfy the requirements across all controls for the same set of customers? Believe that customer projects cited across Module A and B can be different. Pls confimr my understanding. Is there a standard template available from/recommended by MSFT that is available for documentary evidence? Asking this for assets like Project Plan, Functional Specifications, Solution Design Documents, Architectural Diagram etc Also are all of these required evidences mandatory for fulfilling the requirement of each control? Or do we provide some of them? I know this post is long, but any direction/guidance here would be sincerely appreciated. Thx!AJ-OrionAug 07, 2024Copper Contributor827Views1like4CommentsDesignations for Azure Expert MSP

I have created an Azure Marketplace offer with a flat fee pricing model and added dimensions, where the usage is based on the user count. The payment is set to a monthly schedule. Example I have configured a dimension in my Azure Marketplace offer to calculate billing based on the number of users in my SaaS application. For example: If the SaaS application has 10 users, the billing will be calculated as 10 users × $19 = $190. If the user count changes (e.g., from 10 users in January to 8 users in February), I will report the updated user count as usage. This ensures the billing reflects the exact number of active users each month. Questions: How it will work on Azure Marketplace offer and per the below offer plan and how invoice will be generated? If I report usage daily, will the charges be calculated on a daily basis, or will they be aggregated for the month? Do I need to send usage on daily basis or once in a month? Where can I view the total usage reported to date in the Azure portal? Below is screenshot of my test planAkashPagare123Dec 04, 2024Copper Contributor439Views1like3CommentsNew Azure Region - Turkey

Hello everyone, I am trying to find a sales representative who I can discuss a customer opportunity with. The customer is unmanaged and located in France. In the US, there is a Partner-led Sales Resource <mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons> that works with such requests. Is there anything similar in the EMEA? Your help would be much appreciated 🙂Nadia_NavadovaOct 07, 2024Copper Contributor226Views0likes2Comments
