Locked out of Device. In need of assistance.
TLDR: Am being force to verify account that is on my laptop, to log in my laptop. What to do. Context I recently got a laptop, and it required a mircosoft account/email, I didnt know how it worked and made a account called mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons thinking I was making a account. It just let me do that and ask me to verify later. Once I was in my new laptop I started using and then realized I needed a actual account so I made mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons which was my new real account. However recently (i think i remeber it needing to verify after 7 days) the pin is no longer avaible and to make the pin work again, I needed to was to sign in to my mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons which was fine I had my password however it says susipous acitivty requires email verficition to my original fake mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons I try fixing it and which on aka.ms/pwr and account.live.com/proofs/marklost and it only lets me reset my password and attach a passkey which I did but when I try to log into the outlook account and get the password and passkey right it STILL REQUIRED ME TO VERIFY with my fake mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons account. Am I screwed, do I need to get a fresh boot of windows and wipe my storage or smt or is there a representive that can remove the fake email. Any help is appreciated please and thank youSolved168Views0likes2Comments550 5.7.515 Access denied
I just started getting (100%): "550 5.7.515 Access denied, sending domain xxxxx.xx doesn't meet the required authentication level" when sending emails to hotmail addresses using Outlook desktop for Windows ("classic", 365 MSO - Version 2607 Build 16.0.20228.20124) 64-bit). This was working just fine up until some time ago. Other email domains works just fine. Using the same ISP. Other email clients (Gmail, webmail) works fine. It only fails when using Outlook to send. Spf= Pass , Dkim= Fail , DMARC= Pass I am using SMTP, have tried both port 465 and 587 (STARTTLS and SSL/TLS). Using the same credentials as for sending emails (POP) as required by the ISP (no changes here). Any way to fix this?Solved79Views0likes2CommentsAndroid Outlook using outlook proxy email address for primary account, can't receive emails
Longtime, fairly contented user of Outlook in Microsoft 365 here. Yesterday I tried to set up Outlook on my Samsung phone. I was not able to start by incorporating my primary email account, based at my ISP, even though Outlook spotted that account and offered to include it. (I was confused about the proper IMAP port number.) I then took the route of bringing in a gmail account used as a secondary. That worked well. However, Microsoft required me to set up an outlook.com email. Now my phone Outlook nominally has my ISP account as primary, but when I begin a new message, it lists my outlook.com address and my gmail address as sending options, not my ISP address. Emails I send from the account show as having been sent from the outlook.com account -- mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons --, although when I reply to them, my correct ISP address shows up as the prospective recipient in the email draft. I might be able to put up with this -- not sure about people I correspond with, however -- but the ISP account on my phone outlook is not receiving any emails. (Oddly, there is one email from 2015 from the Outlook.com team about getting started.) I can't find a way to adjust what I assume might be incorrect settings for the ISP server. I'm wondering if I should uninstall the current phone Outlook and try again. A side question: what is the purpose of requiring me to set up an outlook.com email? Thanks for any help you can provide.Solved58Views0likes2CommentsSuggestion to Improve Outlook Delay Delivery
Dear Microsoft Outlook Team, I have been using Outlook for a long time and I use the Delayed Delivery feature frequently. Honestly, I think it is one valuable features in Outlook, but it is also one of the features I trust the least. Many times I have wondered if my message was actually scheduled to be sent later or if it was sent immediately for some reason. I believe that this uncertainty could be reduced with a few small interface improvements, without changing the way Outlook works. My suggestion is to add: a Confirm Delay button after selecting a delivery date and time, a visible status such as Delay: Active/Not Active, so that the user immediately knows that delayed delivery has been successfully activated, a Scheduled: field that displays the exact delivery date and time, a Deactivate Delay button, which allows users to quickly disable delayed delivery, I have also created a test image example to better explain the idea and attached them to this message. As an Outlook user, I believe these small improvements would increase user confidence in the delayed delivery feature and help prevent accidental or premature delivery of emails. Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion.Solved105Views0likes4CommentsSignature displayed wrong in New Outlook on Mac

Been trying to find a solution to this with no luck as yet. When I receive an attachment such as a PDF file, JPG, etc., clicking the file opens it as a preview in Outlook. Similarly, when I click on the down or menu arrow to see options for opening, preview is the first option. How do I set it so that when I click on the file it opens in the default app for my system? Also, can I remove preview from the options in the dropdown? Hello there, has anybody experienced what the consequences of correcting the time zone configuration of a room mailbox when its already fully booked with appointments (especially re-occuring ones)? Multiple computers in a household using Windows 11, Outlook 2021 and Google Mail. Up until the last week or so, whenever I receive a calendar invitation generated through either Outlook or Google, it arrived in my Outlook 2021 inbox with an icon showing an attachment. This is helpful in distinguishing emails that are calendar invitations versus just a regular email message. All of a sudden it just stopped doing that. I've run several tests generating calendar invitations from both "idevices" as well as Outlook on multiple computers, it doesn't matter. Calendar invitations are now arriving in my Outlook inbox with no icon. I'd like to get that functionality back. Any ideas?Solved126Views0likes3CommentsProblems using Outlook, Gmail and Google Calendar
For a while now, when I have taken Teams meeting invites to my Microsoft Gmail account via Outlook, when I accept them it deletes the email and I lose the Teams link. I have now diagnosed that my Outlook is set up so that my largely defunct Hotmail account is the "primary" account, and all Outlook calendar events that are created get created on the Hotmail calendar. Apparently because I got the Hotmail from Microsoft. I never use my Hotmail account. How do I get this set up so that these invites will create a Calendar event to my Gmail account's calendar, and hopefully sync them with my Google Calendar on my phone, because that's generally where I take Teams meetings from? I apologize if this is the wrong forum.Solved200Views0likes1CommentGmail sync issues within Outlook Classic
Yesterday, my Gmail folders stopped or failed to sync within Outlook Classic. I went through a number of steps including removing the account, re-adding it but now the sub-folders have disappeared completely. Every time I launch Outlook Classic, there is a Send/Receive Error. I have for now started using the new version of Outlook of which all the Gmail folders are present. However, this new version never allowed (and still does not allow) you to add additional email accounts. It says you don’t have permission to, etc… As a result of errors and issues with both versions of Outlook, I am having to use Outlook Classic for work (M365) email accounts and the new Outlook for my Gmail account. This is absurd . I have seen that this appears to be a recent and known issue with Outlook Classic and looks to being investigated. But why and how did this even happen in the first place? Who at Microsoft has decided to implement a change or update which has impacted a large volume of customers all over the world!?!Solved3.5KViews2likes9CommentsEmails to self considered JUNK, no way to fix unless... Any email that I send to myself, from one of my outlook emails, gets classified as JUNK and put in the junk folder with the other 600 junk mails a day. I try to mark it as not junk in the app or in edge and it will NOT allow me to do that. It will not allow me to make a rule or fix it. What does work: Go into your android phone and use the outlook ap. Simply mark it as "Not Junk" and it will take. Android gets the job done. Microsoft will not. WHY would Microsoft classify email from my address as junk and not allow it to be fixed?Solved271Views1like4CommentsOutlook - save as on attachments missing
Hello, the Microsoft documentation suggests that "Attachments are saved in your Documents folder by default. You can't change the default location but can specify a different location each time you save an attachment. Choose the drop-down arrow to the right of the attachment icon to open the attachment menu. Choose Save As to save to your computer or cloud storage location." This drop down option is not there. I am not sure how long this has been the case as I do not use this personally however a colleague obviously finds it very poor to work with attachments saving into a random onedrive folder where she has to move the content where she wants or downloading it and then moving it. I had read that the transition to outlook new removed it and then it had been added back sometime after, looking at posts people had made about the issue. It doesn't seem like this is an option for any file types for anyone in our organisation, any suggestions ? Thank you, Jamie.Solved495Views0likes1Comment
