I'm looking at the Win and Office support matrix and Win Server 2022 and M365 Apps aren't supported. Can anyone explain why this is? It looks like Microsoft if going to remove the ability to host virtual desktop for clients and install M365 licensing on it. I assume in a push forcing people to use Azure.3.5KViews1like4CommentsTotally bummed out
I probably should have expected this to happen eventually. Been using MS office for longer than I can recall. Most recent is Office 2010 pro which my former client installed when I was consulting so I could be on same version since I was on 2007, they allowed me to keep when I had to leave due to wife’s relocation since I continued to do some remote work for them. But then medical issues, surgeries, and forced retirement hit and the cost to upgrade is just too high. So now into full retirement my monthly income is only enough for the bare minimum and I’m stuck with Office 2010 at EOL. It’s really a great thing MS caters to the education community with free or low cost deals. But I was an engineer with no ties to education. Meanwhile, I feel they have completely abandoned the retiring boomer generation that has made them wealthy and the powerhouse they are today. We are retiring and some of us have hit hard times. Guess it’s time to look at open source!2.1KViews0likes4Commentso365 apps end of support in Server 2016
Hi, As per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-apps/end-of-support/windows-server-support I know that running 0365 apps on Server 2016 will no longer be 'supported' beyond Oct 2025 but what exactly is meant by 'supported'. Will it: A: Immediately cease to function. B: Keep working but with no feature or security updates (obviously not something we want to do for long !). Migrating to Server 2025 will buy us more time, but I would still like to know exactly what this 'end of support' means. Thanks.448Views0likes3Comments1 TB storage with subscription of Office 365 not assigned
I have had a subscription to Office 365 for over 5 years. Just received an email stating that my cloud storage (considerably less than 1 TB) was full. How do I set up the 1 TB cloud storage. Also, how do I set up saving files to my computer and not to One Drive.2.6KViews0likes3CommentsMS Office 2010
Purchased new computer and when I download Office 2010 it ask for the key but said it had been used too many times. I've only used it three times on my own computers. Now when I try to activate is says MS doesn't support 2010. So is there any way around this??1.3KViews0likes2CommentsSupport for Office 2010—and Office 2016 for Mac—has ended: Here’s what you need to know
On October 13, we marked the end of support for Office 2010 and Office 2016 for Mac. This means that we’ll no longer provide technical support, bug fixes, or security updates for these products, and organizations that continue to use them may face increased security risks and compliance issues over time. The requirements for connecting to Office 365 services have also changed—and customers will now need Microsoft 365 Apps, Office 2019, or Office 2016 to connect to Office 365 services like Exchange Online and SharePoint Online. While we will not take any active measures to block legacy versions of the Office client from connecting, these older clients will fall out of step with the service enhancements and may present performance and/or reliability issues over time. Read the full announcement of these changes here.4.2KViews0likes2CommentsLast day for OPPTransition for Office ProPlus

I had Office 2010 on an older laptop. When I upgraded the operating system, I lost my Office 2010 Home and Student version. It indicates on the “Office Product Key Card” that it’s for 1 preloaded PC only. This is still the same computer that it was initially installed on. How can I reinstall it without a disk or is this not possible?868Views0likes1CommentOffice 2010 support ended, but updates still released
On Docs page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/end-of-support-for-office-2010-3a3e45de-51ac-4944-b2ba-c2... it says that support ends in October. Yet i still see security updates released in November and December (WSUS). Why is that? Have you extended support without announcing that?Solved1.4KViews0likes1CommentMS office 2016 perpetual Volume Licenses Queries

Hello, not sure this is the right place to post my question. What does the compatibility and regression testing process look like for third-party providers of Office 365 add-ins? How can we (as customers) be assured that add-ins won't break as we roll out each new feature update?1.2KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Office 2016 Connections with Office 365 Services
In September of 2018, Jared Spataro, then corporate VP of Office and Windows marketing, had stated: "To give you more time to transition fully to the cloud, we are now modifying that policy and will continue to support Office 2016 connections with the Office 365 services through October 2023." Is that statement still correct - that is, Office 2016 users will still be able to connect with Office 365 services through October 2023?Solved2KViews0likes1CommentWorkflow 2013 Deprecation
As mentioned in the following article: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/office-end-of-support-blog/support-update-for-sharepoint-2010-workflows-in-microsoft-365/ba-p/1505453 Workflow 2013 will become deprecated in the near future. When workflow 2013 will reach end of support, does this also mean that the related content type 'Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)' will be deleted? How will this work? This would not be desired in some cases, because maybe we would want the new power automate to use the same data structure for their tasks. In that case, we could still reuse the same content type which reduces the impact of the rework. Also, there is a lot of historical data for us in these workflow tasks (or a content type that inherits from 'Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)'), deleting the content type would mess up this historical data. With kind regards, Stijn Brouwers5.2KViews0likes1Comment
