Auto Open File Types not working anymore
Seems like a few updates ago this option is no longer in the UI, it was available as a right click in any file in the download page or popup. I have another computer that I had this configured from before and it is still working, the filetype is even listed on this page: edge://settings/downloads
Edge New PDF Reader form security bug
Edge can not display a certain PDF under the following conditions. Edge "New PDF Viewer" feature is enabled at "edge://flags/#edge-new-pdf-viewer". A pdf is encrypted with the security setting of "Changed allowed" as "Filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields". Showing and Hiding texts with Acrobat form Javascript does not work properly. Notice: a. Adobe Reader works as expected. Chrome PDF Viewer works as expected. Firefox works as expected. Even Edge old pdf viewer works as expected. b. If a PDF is not encrypted, the same PDF works as expected. Example: https://www.shtml.jp/test/202412/edge_form_2024_security.pdf ShowText button and HideText Button does not work as expected in the case of Edge with "New PDF Viewer" enabled. Hello On my laptop, I have Edge which sometimes has a display problem, in 1/4 of a second, the display disappears and comes back immediately, but it is very brief No problem on my desktop with the same version, for example Maybe a graphic problem? A setting that I could look at? Thanks
UI bug in Edge Stable and Edge Canary for android.
I'm currently using Edge Canary on Samsung Tab S9 +. There is a serious UI bug. Whenever I exit any video from fullscreen mode, layout of browser changes completely. I have attached two pictures for reference. In picture 1 , a youtube video is clicked and playing normally. After I click go fullscreen and I come back again to the normal player mode, layout changes completely and new buttons appear at the bottom. This looks horrendous on a tab. Otherwise Edge compatibility is very good for an android tablet . I'dlike to add that this is not specifc to youtube. This happens every time I go fullscreen and exit back from any video on any site. So this is a problem with edge, not with the website. I checked stable and canary versions. This would be in dev as well though i havent checked.Dev Channel update to 133.0.2992.0 is live.

Lateral tabs related shortcuts
I love the lateral tabs feature and the tab groups as well, I use it a lot at my work place. However, there are at least a couple of keyboard shortcuts that should be added in order to improve the user productivity: a shortcut to open a new tab in the group the current tab belong to: when I'm working with the tabs from a given group, is like I'm working with that group, and if I open a new tab, it's very likely I want to open it in that very group. a shortcut to pin/unpin lateral tabs It goes without saying that for users who need to maximize their productivity it makes a big difference to be able to carry out the most frequent tasks by means of keyboard shortcuts.Dev Channel update to 132.0.2957.11 is live.

I’m having an issue with Microsoft Edge: it crashes every time I try to open a specific website. The browser freezes and then shuts down completely. Interestingly, the site terus works perfectly on Chrome and Firefox, so the problem seems exclusive to Edge. I’ve already tried clearing the cache and disabling all extensions, but it hasn’t resolved the issue. Has anyone else faced something similar or found a solution? Edge may be the last straw!
Greetings, I have had an ongoing like/dislike (fluffed to not offend🙄) relationship with MS Windows since XP was shelved by MS. I had a laptop with Vista on it for about 2 months. I recently had the need for a Windows PC so I bought a laptop with Win. 10 Home and quickly upgraded to 10 Pro and now have another laptop with 11 Pro. I missed anything between Vista and 7 if there was anything as well as 8 and from what I can gather, I didn't miss much. The time between Vista and 10 for me was spent mostly on Android and getting to know Linux a bit. I didn't have a PC so I was mostly just doing research. Since I got the laptop with Win 10 on it, I have been learning how to use a virtual machine and have a side load of Zorin OS that I've been familiarizing myself with. I've used several distros in the past such as Ubuntu and Red Hat but only for brief periods, most of which I was side loading them from DVD roms. I did have a dual boot Win/Ubuntu desktop PC for a brief time also so I'm fairly confident that I will be able to make the transition. I have multiple issues with Windows and MS as I'm aware that many others do also however apparently there aren't enough of us to put a large enough dent in the bank roll because the issues continue to pile up. I believe MS Edge is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I did some research online, some of which I even got from the MS help and support pages, on how to "completely remove" Edge from my PC. I followed the guides and it appeared that it was a successful removal. However, just a few minutes ago, I typed a few words into the Windows search bar and what shows up on my desktop other than... I'm sure you guessed it! Edge! Complete with Bing and Copilot and all the other news and garbage that is the reason I thought I had gotten rid of it! So obviously as some have stated, it really is impossible to get rid of Edge and all the other integrated parts of Windows that I can't stand such as Outlook (the "New" Outlook) and several other annoying and intrusive "features". So I guess there is no other option for me than to stop beating a dead horse so to speak and wipe my laptop and perform a fresh installation of Zorin OS. I may even purchase a brand new NVMe SSD just to be as certain as possible that I won't turn the PC on one day to find that Windows has booted itself back up! It's really a shame because I do like the basic Windows platform and am so used to it that it will feel sort of like I lost a good friend. However I will have to treat it like losing a good friend to something like substance abuse or some other form of behavior that I can't change nor stand to be around. Which I have actually had to do, more than once with actual people so it shouldn't be too hard... I hope. When someone close dies, or something we enjoy is gone for good that's it. It's gone and not coming back. Period. We absolutely must deal with the loss. However when we have to make a choice to not have something or someone in our lives, it's not just like that. It can be very difficult to resist the temptation to at least "check in" or even be bad and spy on them. I don't think many people take this into consideration when they are being inconsiderate to what we need. And this is how I feel about making this transition. However it's evident to me that the things that I can't stand are not going to change and there's nothing I can do about it so I'm forced to say goodbye to a long time friend as I have been using Windows since the beginning. I learned MS-DOS, Windows 95, 98, 98SP2, 98ME, XP, XP-SP2, SP-3, XP Professional, and then Vista was the first time that I decided that I'd had enough. 98-ME was a close second but I held on through that storm. In any case, this most recent experience is something that is totally unacceptable. There is so much wrong with it as far as feeling as though I have been violated that I won't even begin a conversation about that. When I feel that I have lost control of something and there's no way to regain control of it, with the exception of keeping a vehicle from crashing, I just give up! Such is the case here. If MS and Windows have that much control over what I can or cannot do with my PC, it's most definitely time to get as far distanced from it as possible because if this can happen, I am left to wonder how much else???
Edge browser hotkeys
Earlier, when I pressed the keyboard shortcut Fn + A (as well as Fn + S and Fn + D for rewinding), it would pause/play ONLY in one tab (which was Yandex Music, but that's not the point) in the browser. No matter where I pressed the key combination on my PC, whether outside the browser or in it, even in a game/application, if the browser and that tab were open, these combinations applied ONLY to that tab. (Even if I pressed the combination, for example, on the YouTube tab, it would only work for Yandex Music). Now, when I press this key, it pauses/plays whatever is currently on the tab that is OPEN at the moment, or on the LAST opened tab. For example, I am on web YouTube, but I have music playing in the web Yandex Music tab, and when I press Fn + A, it pauses the video on the open YouTube tab, not in Yandex Music as it did before. Previously, this key would only affect Yandex Music, but now it only affects the LAST open tab in the browser. (Даже если я нажимал комбинацию, например, на вкладке YouTube, она работала только для Яндекс Музыки). Теперь, когда я нажимаю эту клавишу, она приостанавливает/воспроизводит все, что находится на вкладке, которая открыта в данный момент, или на последней открытой вкладке. Например, я нахожусь на YouTube, но у меня играет музыка на вкладке Яндекс Музыка, и когда я нажимаю Fn + A, видео приостанавливается на открытой вкладке YouTube, а не на Яндекс Музыке, как было раньше. Раньше эта клавиша влияла только на Яндекс Музыку, а теперь она влияет только на ПОСЛЕДНЮЮ открытую вкладку в браузере. Hello, I have a problem with edge dev on my computer. When I open several PDF files (4 or 5) and if I want to save them in my computer, it works well until the second one and for the third, nothing happens. The browser is down, and I have to restart it... This is very disturbing when you have to do successive research, there is a big waste of time. Hi. Version 132.0.2933.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) I recently discovered that I cannot see all my installed extensions. Doesn't matter which way I try to access them; I only see this one as on the screenshot. Please suggest what I need to do to get them back. Some of them I really need and cannot access them. Hi all, I've noticed an issue seemingly shipped with 130.x. I've tested all other available versions (126.0.2592.102,128.0.2739.107,129.0.2792.79,129.0.2792.89 OK), they all validate the signature as expected: Any 130.x fails to validate the signature: I've tested on the very same system to exclude any other variable. Opening the pdf in Adobe Reader works just fine (just in case there's anything in 130 relating toMicrosoft Edge and Adobe partner to improve the PDF experience). There's nothing really peculiar about these signing certificates (issuing is private CA stored in "Trusted Root CA" win cert. store), except maybe the fact that they have a long validity of 5 years (legal regulation on the document validity). Has anyone experienced something similar, or would have any idea where this change in behaviour might come from? Thank you, Thomas
