[tab-group feature suggestion] Add a 'current tab' notion in tab groups
I like the tab group feature to organize tabs, but clicking a tab group tab has a completely different user experience as clicking a non-grouped tab. By adding a current tab in a tab group, the user experience can be more unified: clicking a tab activates it (brings it to the foreground), clicking a tab group tab activates the current tab in the tab group. This allows for quickly swithing between the 'documentation' for the tab you're working with and the 'project' for the tab you're working with, for instance. The current functionality of 'expanding' the tab group can be moved to the right-click context menu.

Subject: Critical Translation Quality Regression in Edge Built-in Translator (KR/EN to CN) - Number Mismatch Issue Description: The built-in "Translate webpages" feature in Edge (Microsoft Translator service) is currently performing very poorly. Data Integrity Error: When translating from Korean/English to Chinese, numbers are frequently displaced or translated incorrectly. This completely changes the meaning of sentences and financial/technical data. Quality Issues: The general translation quality feels outdated and inferior compared to current LLM capabilities (like Copilot). Request: Please upgrade the built-in webpage translation interface to use a higher-quality model (or the newer AI-powered translation model). The current service is unreliable for reading serious content.Feature Request: Native option to switch tabs via mouse wheel on the tab strip
Many power users relied on extensions like "AutoControl" to switch tabs quickly by scrolling the mouse wheel while hovering over the tab strip. With recent extension changes, this is no longer possible via 3rd party tools. Request: Please add a native toggle in Settings to enable "Scroll tab strip to switch tabs". Why: Productivity: It is much faster than clicking tabs individually. Competitors: Vivaldi and Firefox (via settings) already support this. Accessibility: Reduces the need for precise clicks.
Edge now crashes bind due to it doing TCP DNS in the clear
Not sure if there is a option to turn this off on Edge as I have not looked. So all was fine with my setup I have BIND9.16.50 I have Acrylic DNS Proxy to send DNS to the bind server then the bind kept crashing and it seem Edge is now doing DNS by TCP in the clear if it can resulting Acrylic DNS Proxy to do DNS by TCP to bind I don't know why Microsoft has done this anyone know? After some testing to stop BIND from crashing you need to increase a added option for “tcp-clients” I set to 1000 the default was 150
Edge browser crashes after file download / open
Hello, I am using Edge browser Version 142.0.3595.80 (Official build) (64-bit), on Linux. When downloading a file , and trying to open the downloaded file from wihin browser, it causes edge browser instances to close. I have been using other browsers to get around the problem. Is this a known problem, and are there a solution to this problem? Thanks, Jay
Edge Facebook OWA starts greyed out with Close Button
I have setup Facebook as an Edge desktop OWA and when I click to start it loads greyed out with a CLOSE button in the top left (see screen snip below). If I click on close, everything works OK. How can I stop this from happening and avoid having to click close everytime?
Incognito causes crash
Version 143.0.3650.96 (Official build) (64-bit) How to reproduce: Open incognito tab and browse for 1-2 mins. After closing the (incognito) tab, the main browser freezes for a few seconds and then crashes/closes with no errors shown. Not really sure what else to add, been happening for a few weeks now.My Work feed is missing on the Edge landig page with Beta 144.0.3719.18
Since introduction of Beta 144.0.3719.18 the Work / Discover is changed to Discover only on the landingpage. See below: This means that the handy Microsoft 365 information are missing (Latest documents, Sharepoint sites and comming up events). Stable version 143.0.3650.96 does not have this issue, next to MSN there is a toggle (Work Discover) to choose from. More people seen this behaviour? Regards, Henno
PDF Reader increases file size and now breaks down
Since the PDF Reader increases file sizes heavily and easily reaches 1GB, saving changes is not possible anymore as the editor breaks down every time. Same issue persists in Edge Canary. Also, when writing in text fields, its font size and type randomly changes and oftentimes exceeds the original text field and therefore text being cut of.Angular Service Workers are not working properly after recent Edge update
Hello! I have an Angular application and I am using Service Workers for caching. Unfortunately after updating to the latest Microsoft Edge version (143.0.3650.66), many users were unable to load the applicaiton, because the cache in their browsers somehow became corrupted and the Service Worker did not recognized this and did not reloaded the page. Pressing CTRL+F5 or using incognito mode solved the issue, but it is not an acceptable solution for this app. Is this a known issue? We have several consulting service offerings live in the Microsoft Marketplace that are listed as "Software As a Service" offerings. It is recommended to list consulting services as a "Professional Service," but once an offer is live, you cannot change the offer type. So in order to classify these correctly, we'd have to recreate each service offering as a Pro Service offering and put it through the marketplace validation process again. I'm wondering what the benefit is to having marketplace service offerings listed as "Professional Service" vs. "Software As a Service?" We're trying to decide if it's worth the effort to recreate these offers as Pro Service offer types..
Edge pdf text addition = massive file size increase
As of today, when I add just a small amount of text (20-30 characters) to a pdf and save, the file size increases from 66KB to 55,000KB ... never happened before. I've reported to Microsoft but they have no solutions. Any ideas to get around? Saving as a separate file has same result. ThanksNew Tab search UI (Ctrl + Shift + A) has changed - how to revert to previous behavior ?
Since the latest Microsoft Edge update, the Tab Search panel opened with Ctrl + Shift + A has changed. It now opens on the side instead of the center, and arrow key navigation no longer works. Only Tab navigation works now. this makes it much harder to use quickly. Is there any way to restore the previous centered Tab Search UI, or re-enable up and down arrow navigation, or undo this specific UI change ? The old version worked perfectly for my workflow. The new version slows everything down. Thanks Michael
