So we removed a user from all of our teams and from the whole organization. Now, about a month later, the person in question admitted to still being able to read all of our chats. Only after logging out, the user could not log in to the organization again and therefore not read the chats anymore. How can you make sure that removed users can no longer read the chats of a team?1.2KViews1like1CommentIs there a way to hide settings or lock these settings?
Hello Community! I have a question and that is for our sharepoint intranet site we have created a user and this is used for digital board monitor (touchscreen enabled) so that clients can view the site. The problem is the customers can go to this gear and log out the user or go to these settings and change something. But we don't want that. Is there somehow a solution for this ? I have two computers with Windows 10 Pro, let's call my main computer "host" and the secondary computer "potato", ok? On the host, I have two users, one for local use and the other only for when I turn on potato, which accesses the host through this other user. I configured potato to autologon on the user that I have configured on it and to automatically start the remote connection with an .rdp file on the second host user, because I use potato only on remote connection with host. The problem is that every time I turn on the potato, I need to wait for it to go through the entire internal logon process on its user, wait until opens its explorer, wait potato remember to lunch the .rpd file, and only then it makes logon remotely on the host user. What I would like to do is add the second host user directly to potato, so that potato will log on directly to the host user, without having to go through his internal user. And so that the potato user's explorer is not running at the bottom of the MSRDP. I did a lot of research this week, and I had no success in accomplishing that feat. And as far as I can tell, apparently, the only way to make that is with host running Windows Server. So my question is: Is it possible to add this host user remotely to potato using Windows 10 Pro? If this is not possible, would anyone have a better solution on how to make potato a remote access hub (basically a thin client) in a better way? Thanks, everybody!1.6KViews1like0CommentsAdding personal account is not allowed
Hello everyone Since MS is rolling out its new Teams UI and features like adding a personal account next to your business account, I would like to give it a try but sadly failed with following error message. The message is in german but it says something like: "Due to an organization policy, you cannot use 'xy@hotmail.com' with teams on this device." So yeah, which policy is here meant? I'm a Global Administrator in our M365 environment and it drives me crazy that I can't find this policy. Also, I can't find any similar problems or documentations about this. Can anyone help? Thanks very much.6KViews0likes5CommentsTyping insights data needs to be synced with my account
Every time I reinstall Windows or use a new device, typing insights are reset because they are neither collected nor synced with my Microsoft account. this makes it very useless for me as I have to do everything all over again to teach Windows how to suggest words and phrases properly. please sync these data with our Microsoft account so that Windows or other products won't forget these data and be able to help user better and more efficiently. thank you Upvote this in feedback hub: https://aka.ms/AAas0ja2.1KViews2likes8CommentsCreating users without mailbox
Hi all, I want to create users without creating a mailbox and instead using an existing mail address. It is possible by guest users. But my users should be real users but from different domains. All of them have already their mailbox. Is this possible? Or can I activate a forwarder rule to their real mailbox by creating the user?Solved26KViews0likes5CommentsService principal account now shown as "Unknown User" in Team
My customer uses a service principal account to provision a team. This account was always invisibile in the member/owner list of the team. Now we see the account as "Unknown User" in a Team and even worse the team members see that an "Unknown User" joined the team (screenshot is in German): Are there any recent changes to Teams or the Office 365 Group I should know of? All advice is appreciated!38KViews0likes12CommentsUser account lost ability to connect to remote desktop
I have a user that has been connecting over our VPN to her desktop for months. Two days ago, it started to fail to connect (basically the generic 'couldn't connect' message in the Windows store RD client). Using my account or any other account we can easily connect to her PC, just not her account. We tried having her connect to several different PC's but all fail, just on her user account, so this is not the PC or it's settings, it's her account. Plus it was working fine for a long time right up until it started failing, no changes at all in her account, groups, etc. I went into her account just to double check she's part of the remote users group, is allowed on the machine, passwords okay, etc. Everything looks fine, she just can no longer connect. The only thing I can think of is some update either on the server or all the clients have cut her off for some reason? It's definitely tied to her user account as a bunch of other accounts (including mine) work fine. The PC is 1909, the AD server is Windows Server 2019 v.1809, fully patched/up to date. Anyone seen this? Is her AD account somehow corrupt or some new security thing come out and bork this connection? Any help greatly appreciated as we just had the preliminary report of another user, but still have to confirm.3.4KViews0likes2CommentsRemoved user from channel, then set up new channel and added that user to the newly created channel.
Removed a user from a channel, then set up a new channel and added that user to the newly created channel. The problem is that the user is not able to login. When he tries to sign in, the message says So I head over to Microsoft Teams admin center to see if I can fix this. When I go to 'Teams' > 'Manage Teams' and to the relevant channel, I can see his name listed there, shown as a member. Then when I click into his name from that same page, I am taken to the 'Users' tab on the menu left, and a message pops up saying "That user can't be found" There should be a third user listed on this page, but there is not. And when I go to the Microsoft 365 admin center, he is still there. I am stuck and would appreciate it if someone could help. Thank you.2.7KViews1like4CommentsAdding a comment to a DevOps Work Item using a given user
Second time writing this, as when trying to post the first time it gave me an error "invalid html" and discarded all my content -.- In Flow, I am using a DevOps - Update Work Item action, that updates a work item and adds a comment to it, using the Other Field "history" as the content of the comment. The problem is that the author is set to be the owner of the connection that the action is using, yet since the flow is triggering using an email, the author needs to be set dynamically using the email's author (provided he has an account in DevOps). How can I do this? Is there another name in "other fields" section, perhaps something like "Author" that I can use to set the author of the comment given the name, email or id from the email that started the flow?
