Hello Teams Community, I'm facing a strange issue with App notifications in Microsoft Teams. I've already researched this and found nothing. I've opened a Microsoft case and I'm waiting for an answer but it's taking longer than expected. So, I'm turning to you for expedited help! Scenario: You're an administrator in Teams. You've applied a setup policy for a pinned app like Viva Engage. After the policy is applied and the tool is launched, users complain that notifications are either too frequent or not frequent enough. You direct them to the Teams Notification and activity settings to control app notifications. The users go to Teams notification settings but report back to you that the App section of Teams settings doesn't exist. Problem Statement: Microsoft explicitly states in their documentation that in order for the App notifications section to appear, you must first add an app yourself within Teams and get at least one notification. But relying on users to add an app, somehow create a notification, and then remove it, just to access App notifications is impractical and would never work. Desired Outcome: I'm looking for a way to bypass this prerequisite and force the Apps section to appear in the Notifications and activity section without any user action whenever an app is pinned in the Teams admin center with a setup policy. I'm hoping this can work with any app, not just Viva Engage. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Teams experts! -Rob1.3KViews2likes2CommentsCorporate Teams background images gone
Hi, we just discovered that since yesterday the corporate Teams background images we provided via Teams Admin Center -> Meeting policies are all gone and the button to add new ones is missing. They are missing in both web and desktop application, they seem to be still working in iOS App (but could also be just some kind of caching there?) Is the removal of backgrounds part of Teams Premium? Have there been any changes? Is this related to some kind of licensing issues?Solved22KViews1like49CommentsGetting access to Teams meeting files
I was added to a bi-weekly Teams meeting today. This meeting had been scheduled weeks ago and had other attendees on it. Before I was added, they saved documents to the meeting's Files tab. When I got invited to the meeting, none of the documents in the Files tab showed up for me. Is there a way to get access to these documents in the Files tab without moving them somewhere else?5KViews1like2CommentsSharePoint List in Teams - One list added to by multiple Teams that see only seeing their data
Wanting to know if it's possible to create a SharePoint List (SharePoint Online) that multiple Teams can contribute to, however that can only see their information. Requirements: An overarching SharePoint List to capture all data from multiple Teams Multiple Teams to contribute multiple items to the list via a Teams tab (no need to see SharePoint) Individual Teams can only see their data, not other Teams Individual Teams will have a unique ID associated with them, located in a SharePoint Master List of Teams Any changes to the overarching SharePoint List would reflect in all Teams views (for example adding a new column/ field and any custom settings). This is an important difference as it means we cannot (at least I don't think we can) make individual lists for each Team and use a Flow to push to a master list. Example: A Risk Register as an overarching SharePoint list to capture all risks from all projects Each project has a Teams structure set up for it, with a view of the Risk Register & all its fields via a tab - not requiring to open SharePoint, all data can be added directly through Teams. Individual projects add their risks to the register in Teams, populating the overarching Risk Register in SharePoint Individual projects cannot see data from other projects, only their own risk data Each project has a unique ID in a Master List in SharePoint (if unique IDs help with a solution) Any change to the Risk Register structure in SharePoint is reflected immediately in all project view through their Teams tab. e.g. adding a new field to the SharePoint list will show that new field in all Teams On the back-end in the Risk Register SharePoint List, admins can see all risks raised by all projects Hopefully this is quite simple and there's an out-of-the-box solution! Thanks in advance2.5KViews1like0Comments
