Trying my luck in the forums, since google has come up dry! File is located in a sharepoint library, and can be shared perfectly well using 'share' or 'copy link' from within the library. However, if I try to open a file in excel or word app, the frame fails to load (as shown in screenshot). The same happens if I do it 'file>share' as well. Has anyone else experienced / know anything I can do about this problem?803Views0likes0CommentsPulling data from one tab to another
Hello, I was working on a spreadsheet that is uploaded to SharePoint. I download the file so it's opened in the excel app instead of trying to update it from the web.. I was pulling data from one tab to another using =, then going to the tab I want to pull data from, selecting the cell, then hitting enter... So it looks like this: =Active!D41.. (Active is the name of the tab, D41 is the cell I am referencing...) It's worked over and over and over until all of a sudden it stopped working!! Strangest part is when I go back to the cells that already pulled the data and re-enter the formula, it's no longer working for that either!! So incredibly strange!! Anyone know whats happening? Are you only able to pull over a certain amount of data from one tab to the next? Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thank you! Hi, I'm trying to make a Power Query to an external (client) Sharepoint. The URL identify the document and the connection is established... but no data is loaded. In then Navigator the table preview shows the header "Kind/Name/Children/Text" (?) and the Web Preview shows the Log-In dialog. I assume... the Log-In is the problem... but where to fill in the Log-In data for the query? I'm trying to figure out what's the root of this issue, but the gist is I have a very formula heavy document that is currently misbehaving dramatically. Co-authoring has gotten very flaky, not too surprised about this, the doc is slow, also expected. What is perhaps most interesting, I am working directly through the SharePoint document library instead of through OneDrive synced folders, and when attempting to "save" some large changes excel starts spinning at around ~30% CPU of a quad core, and constantly at 30-50MB/s disk activity! This went on for well over 10 minutes then ended and the status changed from "Saving" to "Saved". I've no clue why there is so much disk activity for a file that is not even stored on my hard drive! I assume excel is saving some temp files or something, this is expected but the file is not even 3 MB in size! What could excel possibly be doing that amounts to ~18GB of disk activity!!!1.7KViews0likes1CommentHow to update a sharepoint list from excel table?
Excel 2013 I have lot of working excel workbooks, that are update on daily basis from several users. I wish to push to a Sharepoint list a standard content (table) in order to create only one table for making reports and comparisons among all worksheets data. In the previous Excel version there was an add-on available to do this job (syncronizewssandexcel.xlam), but now I am not able to find it (seems deprecated). How can I get out from this stumbling block? There is another supported method?2.4KViews0likes1CommentImporting data into Excel 2016 from Access/Sharepoint database
Hello I have an access database that has linked tables with sharepoint. I have historically linked queries to an excel spreadsheet and imported data with no problems in access and excel 2013. After upgrading access and excel to 2016 the the Excel spreadsheet will no longer connect and shows “connecting to database” but never does. I noticed that I can link to standard access tables but NOT tables or queries that are linked to sharepoint. Not sure if this is some new security or other feature. Please advise. I've created an excel sheet that pulls data from two excel online sheets that are linked to forms filled out on a weekly basis. Because it's in my onedrive, I'm the only one who can refresh it, which is less than ideal. Is there any way to create it in such a way that multiple people could refresh it?1.4KViews0likes5Comments
