54 Topics- How to revert back to mail from new outlookOn windows 10, inside the the old Mail app I accidentally clicked the try new outlook toggle and ended up in the new outlook app. I tried it, it required adding of all my emails accounts again. Some I have already lost access due to lost of password but the old email was still accessible in the old Mail app. I tried to toggle it off to return to the old Mail App but after I clicked it, opening the old mail app still opens the new outlook. Now I essentially lost a bunch of my old emails.147KViews5likes57Comments
- New Outlook - Cannot connect to serverA few of us in the IT Department are trying to preview the new Outlook. When we click the slider the new Outlook launches, sits at the Setting up account for a few minutes, then errors out with "Cannot connect to server". We can get back to the old Outlook by running outlook.exe /safe, but the new Outlook will not connect for anyone even when off our network and no VPN is running. I cannot find any articles that show changes in requirements from the old application to the new one. Anybody seen this issue?Solved19KViews1like12Comments

Microsoft Office Personal 2019 version 2005 (build 12827.20470) is not garbled. So, at present, we recommend rolling back to version 2005 (build 12827.20470). Currently, I think the above Beta Channel build 13001 or later is not good enough. The Microsoft support chatbot won't solve the problem, and the first operator that came out didn't solve the problem either. P.F. (Customer Advocate Microsoft Technical Support), who seemed to know more than the first operator who was passed the baton next. I had him assist me with remote work. The first thing he did was to roll back to version 2005 (build 12827.20470). Because of my job, I'm using DeepMail to send out multiple mailers at once. I receive 5-10 emails (from a certain local government) daily. The phenomenon is similar, though. What we do know is that the same email to the sender was sent to the sender with a "request to resend individually because the attachment is garbled If you do, for some reason, even from the same DeepMail is not garbled 100%. So, I have a hunch that there may be some conditions on the sending side of the phenomenon. After applying rollback to version 2005 (build 12827.20470), the phenomenon does not occur at all. If you receive an encrypted email using an email client that cannot correctly decode (decrypt) attachment file names encoded in accordance with the latest RFC2231 standard, such as Outlook 2019, if the attachment file name is long, the attachment file name may be garbled or the sent Email attachments have a ".dat" extension. This happens because Outlook 2019 does not support RFC2231: 3. - Adding Categories to Favorites in Outlook for MacOne of my favorite features of "New Outlook" on Windows is the ability to add Categories to the favorites list. Am I missing something on the Mac version (16.80) or is it not possible? I didn't see anything on the Microsoft 365 roadmap page for it.3KViews2likes4Comments
- Outlook will not update to 16.68 (all other Office apps do)This is driving me nuts. I've removed, cleaned, reinstalled. Situation: Office apps - Word, Excel, PPT - will update to 16.68. Even Teams and Edge are okay. HOWEVER, Outlook will not (it only goes to 16.66, and I have to manually download/install 16.66_2), and 16.68 NEVER shows up. On another Mac? No problem. (note - this troubled Mac is running Ventura - is there a compatibility issue w/ Outlook sync and Ventura?) oh, and the new Microsoft Forums are BROKEN. - Unreadable TINY font size Outlook 16.69 & 16.70 on M1 Mac when composingWith 16.69 and 16.70 Outlook on Mac (M1), when composing a message/reply/fwd, I am "seeing" the body frame open up with SUPER TINY font size. This also happens if I open an existing calendar event. Is this "feature" something that can be controlled via a setting somewhere? See attached imaged for example. Thanks!2.2KViews1like2Comments
