Custom in-app notifications for updates to Loop tables
Hello, Microsoft 365 Insiders, Earlier this year, we enabled process automation for Loop tables. Many of you have embraced this new capability and encouraged us to innovate further in this area. Our latest update introduces custom in-app notifications for updates to Loop tables and table templates! In our quest to extend these capabilities to all our users, we’re excited to share that you can now activate in-app notifications to keep your team updated, even without a Power Automate license. Check out our latest blog by Tanvi Sharma, Product Manager on the Loop team, for a detailed walkthrough of setting up and using these enhancements. Thanks! Hi, Office Insiders! Kimberley Chua from the Word team is here to let you know that we’re now bringing improvements to Word for Windows and Word for Mac: new Track Changes cards! New Track Changes cards Collecting and acting on feedback about your document is a critical factor in creating great content, and the Track Changes feature in Word is an essential part of that process. Now we’ve added new Track Changes cards, which make it easier to review a change before you accept or reject it. How it works Ready to give the new Track Changes cards a try? 1. When working in any Word document that contains tracked changes and shows all revisions inline, click on a tracked change in the text. 2. Review the suggested change in the card that pops up. A few of us in the IT Department are trying to preview the new Outlook. When we click the slider the new Outlook launches, sits at the Setting up account for a few minutes, then errors out with "Cannot connect to server". We can get back to the old Outlook by running outlook.exe /safe, but the new Outlook will not connect for anyone even when off our network and no VPN is running. I cannot find any articles that show changes in requirements from the old application to the new one. Anybody seen this issue?SolvedTimTragJun 10, 2025Copper Contributor19KViews1like12CommentsLive translated transcript for Teams Premium users
Attention Tech Community! Teams Premium users now have the option to translate the meeting transcript into another language than what was originally spoken in the meeting. With more than 30 languages available the world is now your oyster. To use this feature, users need to be members of the Teams Public Preview or Microsoft 365 Targeted Release, have a Teams Premium license, and use the Windows, macOS or web (Edge, Chrome) Teams client. Other meeting participants aren’t required to be members of the Teams Public Preview. Interested? Learn more in our blog post! One of the features that I really like in the Outlook desktop apps is the ability to delay sending an email, that way I can take notes on the go and ensure the email only gets sent during business hours (to preserve digital work / life balance for my colleagues). A few tech platforms are introducing digital well being features, and think this feature could be really helpful. Note: Another limitation of the delay sending feature is that it requires the sender's machine to have the desktop app running (otherwise the message won't get out of your outbox).RobinCartierMay 14, 2025Copper Contributor40KViews10likes18CommentsBeta 2505 - OFFICE_MODULE_VERSION_MISMATCH
After Microsoft 365 updated to Beta Version 2505 earlier this week (April 8), Reliability Center shows an OFFICE_MODULE_VERSION_MISMATCH error when the program is closed for all installed apps (Word, Excel, and Outlook Classic). Furthermore, when Outlook runs Reliability Center shows an error identifying that the Search Protocol Host crashed. The faulting module is identified as ntdll.dll. I know the error is linked to this Beta Version, as I restored a system backup from April 7 that had Beta Version 2504 installed. There were no errors. As soon as Microsoft 365 updated to Version 2505, the errors returned. I'm hanging back on 2504 for now with updates disabled. Hopefully the issue will be resolved with the next Beta release.SalonisApr 17, 2025Copper Contributor917Views0likes3CommentsUnable to edit Outlook Meeting's body text (I'm not the organizer).
After the M365 apps monthly updates in our organization. The Organizer can edit the it. But, if the meeting room invite sent to the "Reception" team(Who has the Editor access to room mailbox) to edit the meeting/Accept. Can now only edit the title and not the body text. This was reported by many users. Anyone has come across such issue in recent time? Do you have any solution??Nivas_RajuApr 03, 2025Copper Contributor16KViews4likes25CommentsNew Translation Functions in Excel: TRANSLATE and DETECTLANGUAGE
Hey Microsoft 365 Insiders, Great news for Excel enthusiasts! Excel now includes powerful translation functions, allowing you to translate and detect languages directly within your spreadsheets. The new TRANSLATE and DETECTLANGUAGE functions help break down language barriers, making your data more accessible and your workflow smoother. Discover how it works in our latest blog post by Gedion Alemayehu, Product Manager on the Excel team: New Translation Functions in Excel: TRANSLATE and DETECTLANGUAGE NOTE: These are preview functions. Their signature and results may change substantially before being broadly released, based on your feedback. So, we do not recommend using these functions in important workbooks until they are generally available. Thanks! I just downloaded the insider update that allows for a full dark mode in excel. A couple of things I've noticed: Black and white are inverted. If you select black for a font color, cell fill, or border color, you'll end up with white, and vice versa. If someone is in dark mode, they're going to get awfully confused when they try to change various colors of the cells they're working in and aren't getting the color they want to pick, especially for those who need to use specific colors in their spreadsheets for whatever reason. This isn't so bad with black and white; annoying as it is, you can still at least remember to choose black when you need white or white when you need black. But when you choose other colors, you often end up with a color that is vaguely in the family of the color you selected, but not really. Trying to select the standard yellow used for highlighting, and you end up with an almost pale gold-like color. An example of what happens with a few colors is shown in the picture, but every color is affected to some degree. This makes the dark mode feature almost entirely useless for those who rely on colored conditional formatting in some or all of their spreadsheets, as the colors selected in dark mode end up being completely different from the color you actually wanted to select, and it's nearly impossible to try to figure out which color you have to select to get something that even resembles the color you actually want. The colors of individual elements of a spreadsheet (Font color, highlighting, borders, etc.) should not be altered this severely based on whether or not dark mode is turned on.The-Man-In-BlackMar 26, 2025Copper Contributor101Views0likes1CommentGROUPBY aggregating more than one column of data
In the early versions of Excel beta, we were able to create a formula like this: =GROUPBY(Table[Code], Table[[Duration]:[Expense]], SUM, 3) and this worked just fine. But now, the lambda SUM function is coming up with a #NAME error, even when I use the formula builder.
