Error: Failed to import the following drivers: • Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller - An error occurred while importing the selected driver. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?77Views0likes3CommentsWindows 11
Windows 11 OS has been the most useless upgrade of Microsoft with highest number of bugs. Mid performance laptops like dell 5510,i5 11th gen(nvidia mx450) which in my case also cannot run smoothly on windows 11. I have got a ton of issues on gpu, display and bugs where display rendering issues and blue screen error messages appear. Even the dark mode sucks. Biggest downfall for Microsoft in terms of stability 👎🏻58Views0likes0CommentsWDAC: Unable to deploy Vulnerable driver blocklist

Surface is advancing Windows driver development by adopting Rust, a memory-safe programming language, to improve device security and reliability. Through contributions to the open-source windows-drivers-rs platform, Surface has shipped several Copilot+ PCs with Rust-based drivers, reducing vulnerabilities and enhancing maintainability.1.6KViews7likes0CommentsQuestion: What is the behind-the-scenes process when a network printer is installed?
Quick background: I work for an MSP providing Tier I support to Ricoh printers at a large healthcare facility. The enterprise has not moved to Universal Print - yet. I want to better understand the end-to-end process as it is now as I'm sure it will help me when the client begins to adopt Universal Printing. We have a mix of Windows 10 and 11 computers. They still use a print server and I recently had most of the Ricoh printers on it updated so they are associated with the PCL6 V4 Universal Print Driver from Ricoh. There are still a few left with either model specific V3 PCL drivers or the PCL6 Universal Print Driver (which is V3, too). However, the only V4 drivers on the computers are those built into the OS - Point and Print or Enhanced Point and Print from Microsoft. Users aren't allowed to install print drivers from Windows Update. Here's what I think is the process behind-the-scenes: User navigates to Printers & Scanners and clicks Add Printer. User selects the printer and it's installed. The print driver for that printer is associated by the OS searching in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository for a folder (either oem..... or prnms.......) that is the most compatible. Hopefully its a driver from Ricoh (in my case) but it may be the Microsoft Point and Print driver. When the user attempts their first print with the new printer, some of the contents of the folder above (DLL files primarily) are moved or copied [I'm unsure which] to C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3. I think this is how it works for both V3 and V4 print drivers but would like clarification. I'm aware that the INF file is copied to C:\Windows\INF, and that CAB files for at least some of the installed printers are located in C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\PCC. I don't understand the purpose for either of these. As for the process as I described it above, I'd appreciate any and all feedback so that I can better understand the process.86Views2likes0CommentsNeed to update graphics drivers
Hi, when I open the Mixed Reality Link app I tend (explained later) to get the following message. I have a laptop Acer Aspire 3 A315-57G (bought in 2021), with integrated Intel Iris plus GPU + Nvidia MX330. Yesterday I tried few things. First, I updated the graphics drivers from the Acer website, but nothing changed. Then, I reinstalled the graphics drivers from the Intel website (from my understanding the same I already had) and the error disappeared. Hence, I managed to connect the Quest 3 and everything was running smooth. However, today I got again the same error and cannot connect. I didn't try reinstalling again the drivers, but I can do it for testing if it can be useful. Could I try something else? I am not an expert but willing to learn new tricks. Or is it maybe related to the fact that I have old hardware and it is not supported? It really seems an error related to the Windows app, since when the error was gone everything run smoothly. Thank you in advance for any help.262Views0likes2CommentsNo Drivers and Firmware updates option available
Hello everyone and greetings from Portugal! I'm not able to find the Drivers and Firmware Updates option in my tenant. I'm signing-in with a user that is Global Administrator and has a M365 Business Premium license. Does anyone have the same issue? Do I need to active the feature somewhere? Hi Everyone, I am having performance issue with Node 1 in a two nodes database cluster. They both has identical VM hardware settings and sitting on the same datastore. However, I noticed differences on Node1 compare to Node2 is that all VM disks on listed as unspecified devices under Devices and Printers While Node 2 seems to be fine as expected. Also, on Node 1, there are some volume shadow copies (does not exist on Node2) that has error 45 as below My concerns are: What could cause Windows listed all disks as unspecified on Node 1. Have already reinstalled latest VM Tools Volume shadow is disabled on disks, what are those shadow copies in the list? Do they cause disks become unspecified. Is the slow performance (read/write to any disks, login, Windows update ) on Node 1 because of the unspecified disks? Any ideas to solve the problem is very much appreciated.
