Error ID-3000.0 - Surface Pro 11 ARM + Quest 3 v83
Connection fails at streaming phase after successful QR pairing. Setup: Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon X Elite ARM64) Quest 3 on v83 Windows App (blue icon) + Remote Display on Quest What I tried: Network: Same 5GHz network, private mode, discovery enabled, ports 3389/8264-8266 open Windows: Disabled Windows Hello completely, password-only login, NLA off, uninstalled McAfee Quest: Storage permission on, nearby devices on, location on (permissions show green but grayed out with "authorization required" tooltip - seems normal for system apps) Display: HDR off, lowered to 1080p Cleanup: TermService running, deleted old Oculus Remote Desktop folder to avoid x64 driver conflicts Result: Pairing works fine but video stream never starts. Looks like ARM capture driver isn't negotiating properly with Quest decoder. Anyone else running into this on ARM devices?Kubo13Jan 16, 2026Copper Contributor37Views0likes0CommentsMixed Reality Link: Controllers are not working, I can only watch the screen
Is this expected behavior in V72 and Mixed Reality Link App from Windows Store that my Quest 3s Controllers cannot click and interact in my Windows 11 or Windows 365 Cloud PC?SolvedragnarheilNov 14, 2025Brass Contributor1.1KViews5likes6CommentsI have no desire to give meta any more information about myself.
Why in the world does Microsoft feel it's okay to deprecate its own software completely killing its own hardware. I just wonder who is tugs who's you know. It's kinda stupid to buy into an ecosystem that last about 2 years. Oh with better stats and more personal privacy. Microsoft should just end, sell everything to Apple, meta, or Google. Any of which would still **bleep**ing suck, but be better suited to carry the torch. Sorry Mr gates you **bleep**ed up.JpittyNov 02, 2025Copper Contributor20Views0likes0CommentsInput from Quest to PC in Mixed Reality Link
Hello, Would it be possible to add support for input from Quest to Windows PC? Basically to be able to either use the screen as touch (hands/controller), or use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard connected to Quest 3/3S to interact with the virtual screens. I don't think this would be a radical feature, since most remote desktop tools already support this, however Mixed Reality Link is really lacking this feature.send_me_a_ticketOct 30, 2025Copper Contributor118Views0likes0CommentsCannot find "Mixed Reality Link" app in the Microsoft Store! HELP!
I recently had to re-install windows 11 fresh due to my PC getting corrupted by Microsoft's 24H2 Feature Update which was annoying enough, but now I am trying to re-install all my apps and I am trying to re-install the Mixed Reality Link software, however for some reason, I cannot find the app in the Microsoft Store https://aka.ms/mrlink : All I see when doing a search is: Why can't I find the app now and how can I get this back so I can link my Meta Quest 3s? Is there some issue with the Microsoft Store? Please help! Thank you!!Solvedskeefiez11Oct 22, 2025Copper Contributor731Views1like4CommentsWhy not give us the possibility to connect via USB-C?
Hi, I'm enjoying a lot this app, but why not making it possible to connect via USB-C like PCVR? better latency and for people with the wifi not on the same room, better image quality. Is this an option we will have in the future? Thanks! (QUEST 3)Can no longer install Mixed Reality Link
(for context, I am using a Galaxy Book4 Edge (ARM) on the latest non-Insider Version of Windows) I already had Mixed Reality Link installed on my Laptop and it worked perfectly fine, it paired with my Quest 3S and displayed an Image no problem. A few weeks ago the App would no longer open, it wouldn't display any error and no window would show (needless to say, I couldn't get the Headset to connect either). Repairing or resetting the App through the Settings App didn't do anything, so I tried to reinstall it. Windows showed the App as being installed, while Microsoft Store said it wasn't installed, so that could've been my first hint that something weird was going on. I tried to uninstall the App, it would say that it was uninstalling but do nothing. So I tried just to reinstall, and it wouldn't do it. It would download the app no problem but then at 100% with the text "almost ready" (I guess that's what it's saying in English, my Laptop is set to German) it would fail stating "An Error occured. We are aware of the problem and trying to fix it. Please try again later" with error code 0X80073B2F. Googling this error code only resulted in SQL server express errors, Windows update errors and other MS-Store error codes, which didn't provide a solution. So I did, I tried again later, first a few hours later, then a few days, but the error persistet. I thought that maybe the issue was that it was still kinda installed. Trying to fix it, I removed the Appx-Package from an elevated Powershell, but that didn't help either, Mixed Reality Link was no longer broken in my start menu (as in, it was now uninstalled) but trying to reinstall it it would throw exactly the same error. I also tried installing via Winget but that had the same issue and threw the same Error code. Note that other MS-Store apps can be installed no problem. I'm kinda at a loss of what could be the issue. I'd be grateful for any help. Edit: after a bit more troubleshooting I noticed that 0x8007 errors relate to Appx deployment, however 0x80073B2F wasn't documented at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/appxpkg/troubleshooting#common-error-codes. Through a bit more digging I found out that certutil can provide help information for Appx error codes, so, expecting nothing, I ran certutil -error 0x80073b2f and this actually produced the following output: 0x80073b2f (WIN32: 15151 ERROR_PRI_MERGE_ADD_FILE_FAILED) -- 2147957551 (-2147009745) together with the explanation (roughly translated): "One of the PRI files couldn't be added to the merged file". Now, of course, ERROR_PRI_MERGE_ADD_FILE_FAILED isn't documented anywhere and the error message isn't particularly helpful ever. I found out PRI files have something to do with indexing but that didn't help me. So, I'm once again stuck without any real progress.SolvedJuff-MaSep 04, 2025Copper Contributor496Views3likes5CommentsCannot Pair Q3 to Win 11
I'm having a problem pairing to connect the new Win11-Quest 3 VR combo. I do get a message "Connect Desktop Windows 11 PC" and when I hit the Pair button nothings happens. Also my Windows PC does not appear on the Remote Desktop home screen on the Q3. When I click on Add Computer, then Windows 11, again nothing happens. I've turned on the Q3 Mixed Reality Link in Q3 experimental settings. I turned off my Windows Firewall. I've tried both with a USBC cable and via wifi. I meet all of the requirements for the Win 11 PC, have 24H2 with GPU, installed the Mixed Reality Link app, so not sure what's going on.SolvedMikeBee2022Aug 02, 2025Copper Contributor4.2KViews0likes6CommentsError 5001.3
