i have installed the required app on the Quest 3 headset and windows, pressed the windows and Y key to bring up the QR code however no matter what distance, what angle, what screen, even screenshotted and displayed on my phone the quest 3 headset is still coming back with the error 'QR code not recognised'. i have tried reinstalled the app, different distances, screens, brightnesses, enviromental lighting, QR code sizes no matter what i try whenever the headset recognises that there is a QR code it still comes up with 'QR code not recognised'. I even tried refreshing the code by reinstalling the desktop app and even swapping the code by backing out and trying add device again, nothing works. there needs to be a different way to verify connection as this is not working602Views0likes4CommentsRemote display not changing to 1920 x 1080
With initial versions of Mixed Reality Link the remote display in the Meta Quest was looking great, crisp and big, but suddenly it stopped doing that. Since the latest update of Mixed Reality Link the display keeps the same resolution from my physical monitor, which makes it look squeezed and with big horizontal black bars in the Quest window. I recently had to re-install windows 11 fresh due to my PC getting corrupted by Microsoft's 24H2 Feature Update which was annoying enough, but now I am trying to re-install all my apps and I am trying to re-install the Mixed Reality Link software, however for some reason, I cannot find the app in the Microsoft Store https://aka.ms/mrlink : All I see when doing a search is: Why can't I find the app now and how can I get this back so I can link my Meta Quest 3s? Is there some issue with the Microsoft Store? Please help! Thank you!!156Views1like0CommentsIs a Meta Business Accounted to run Windows App (and Windows 365 Cloud PC) on Meta Quest 3?
I cannot find this requirement of purchasing a Meta Quest for Business Account (15 US$/month) in the documentation: https://www.meta.com/de-de/help/quest/articles/in-vr-experiences/oculus-features/mixed-reality-meta-quest/ https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/in-vr-experiences/oculus-features/mixed-reality-meta-quest/ https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/about-windows-mixed-reality-link-4155d287-182d-4003-b189-b42a4e357fc5 https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2024/12/11/immersive-productivity-with-windows-and-meta-quest/212Views1like3CommentsNeed to update graphics drivers
Hi, when I open the Mixed Reality Link app I tend (explained later) to get the following message. I have a laptop Acer Aspire 3 A315-57G (bought in 2021), with integrated Intel Iris plus GPU + Nvidia MX330. Yesterday I tried few things. First, I updated the graphics drivers from the Acer website, but nothing changed. Then, I reinstalled the graphics drivers from the Intel website (from my understanding the same I already had) and the error disappeared. Hence, I managed to connect the Quest 3 and everything was running smooth. However, today I got again the same error and cannot connect. I didn't try reinstalling again the drivers, but I can do it for testing if it can be useful. Could I try something else? I am not an expert but willing to learn new tricks. Or is it maybe related to the fact that I have old hardware and it is not supported? It really seems an error related to the Windows app, since when the error was gone everything run smoothly. Thank you in advance for any help.174Views0likes2Comments'Connection dropped by windows 11 5001' error :(
When I see the icon above my Windows 11 keyboard and press connect, my laptop screen goes blank for a few seconds and I get the error 'Connection dropped by windows 11 : 5001' error :( I have unpaired and repaired the windows laptop and I have run the Meta setup.msi several times... the connection just keeps dropping. I am using a MS Surface Pro X, connected to my Meta Quest 3 512gb running the Latest V72 PTC. I checked the compatibility and all looked good on install on both devices.....983Views4likes22CommentsCan't Pair Quest 3 to Windows 11 PC
Hi, I'm using a Dell Latitude 5540 (13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1365U 1.80 GHz). Windows 24H2. This comes with Intel Iris Xe so it meets the minimum requirements. Same Wifi network (5Ghz), same subnet, same gateway. I've got Mixed Reality Link installed on my PC. On My Quest 3 I've got both Remote Desktop & Windows App installed. When I look at my laptop, I get the Pair option. I click on it and click on Scan QR Code. I press Windows + Y on my pc to bring up my QR Code. I look at the QR code with my Quest (I've tried various distances from the screen, including right up close). I've also tried my laptop screen as well as an external display. It fails to pair and prompts me to try it again. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps on both the PC & Quest. I've also restarted both devices. I've tried disabling Windows Firewall on my PC. Not sure what else to try?1KViews2likes7CommentsCan't Reconnect to PC
Hello, Earlier I had my Quest 3 paired to both my Desktop and my laptop. For whatever reason, I can only get it to work with the desktop. When I was testing with my laptop earlier, one thing I did that accidently killed the connection was use the Windows key + P shortcut and it must have selected some option which killed the connection. Anytime I try to reconnect I get error code -2007 (There was an issue updating your display). I have reinstalled on Quest 3 and on the laptop and no luck. Is there a way to reset whatever I did using that shortcut?124Views0likes2CommentsMeta Quest 3s Controllers not working in Windows 365
Is this expected behavior in V72 and Mixed Reality Link App from Windows Store that my Quest 3s Controllers cannot click and interact in my Windows 11 or Windows 365 Cloud PC? If I want to connect with Windows App within Meta Quest 3s, it asks me to sign in with Meta Quest Business Account (15 US$/month) - is this upgrade expected? I don't see it mentioned in the documentation https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/in-vr-experiences/oculus-features/mixed-reality-meta-quest/29Views0likes0CommentsOther options to install MR Link?
My employer is interested in testing this feature, however the Microsoft Store was deprecated earlier this year so we're unable to install the Link application. Is there another option to deploy this app directly? Ideally we'd like to deploy with our MDS and eventually Intune. Since it relies on the store at this point we're unable to even begin testing.Solved250Views0likes1CommentWish: Can become OpenXR Runtime
Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) is an OpenXR Runtime. Before WMR was deprecated, OpenXR apps can use WMR. After WMR was deprecated, OpenXR apps must either use Steam VR or Meta Query Link. Steam VR and Meta Query Link are both OpenXR Runtimes. But they are bulky, slow and unstable. Wish: Mixed Reality Link can be set as OpenXR Runtime.59Views0likes0CommentsCannot Pair Q3 to Win 11
I'm having a problem pairing to connect the new Win11-Quest 3 VR combo. I do get a message "Connect Desktop Windows 11 PC" and when I hit the Pair button nothings happens. Also my Windows PC does not appear on the Remote Desktop home screen on the Q3. When I click on Add Computer, then Windows 11, again nothing happens. I've turned on the Q3 Mixed Reality Link in Q3 experimental settings. I turned off my Windows Firewall. I've tried both with a USBC cable and via wifi. I meet all of the requirements for the Win 11 PC, have 24H2 with GPU, installed the Mixed Reality Link app, so not sure what's going on.Solved2.5KViews0likes4Comments
