Can someone tell me if the Outlook phone app is capable of displaying the colors set up for categories in the calendar? We have numerous teams using resource calendars and color coding the appointments with a different color for each person. They are complaining that they don't see the colors in the Outlook App on their phone. I tested this on my Android phone and don't see any colors. The user that submitted the complaint has an iPhone. I am having difficulty finding out from googling whether this feature is available in the Outlook phone app or not because the results just keep coming up for Outlook not the Outlook phone app. And if it is available, is it available for both Android & iOS or only one of those?156KViews7likes32CommentsBest Setup for Office 365 Vacation Calendar
I was hoping to get advice on the best way to set up a calendar in Office 365 for vacation/time-off request approvals. Would the best way be to create an email address and have the calendar items associated with that email? Or creating a group? Or creating a room for those requests and calendar events? Thanks!143KViews0likes18CommentsHow to add events to a Teams calendar without sending out a mass invite to all users
Hi All, Just had the functionality to add a Calendar as a Tab to a Microsoft Team. We were hoping to use this to track days off (as all day 'free time' events with no attendees), and to schedule meetings that the Department can track, but doesn't necessarily require everyone to be invited. However, every time we add an event, it automatically sends an invite to everyone in the team, and posts the content in the Posts section of the team. We looked at the Required Attendees, and no one was listed. Under the Scheduling Assistant, the only person listed under the Required Attendees is the user creating the invite. There is no one else in the team added. However, all teams members get an invite in their Outlook. Is there a way to: 1. Schedule items into the Calendar where invites are not sent out? 2. Ways to limit the users that do get invites if we want to have smaller meetings? 3. Stop it from posting everything to the Posts chat? (similar to adding a tab where you can deselect the "post to this channel about the tab") Thanks.Solved109KViews8likes7CommentsHow to set up a booking with multiple staff?
Our office just switched to Office 365. I'm used to using calendar/booking software like Calendly etc. I find it easier to send people a booking link than to try to coordinate between multiple people. I need to send a booking link to an external customer but I need the available times to book to be where there is overlap between multiple staff members, and for when the booking is made, it alerts these multiple staff. For instance, I am trying to set up a meeting with an external client, my boss, and myself. I want the external client to be able to only book times that my boss and I are both available, and when they book I want it to include both my boss and myself in the booking. I tried to set up a booking and turned off the "choose staff" option, but instead of booking both of us, it only booked one of us. Is it possible to do what I want to do in the MS booking app?90KViews10likes35CommentsDisplaying the events web part as a full calendar view of the month on a modern page?
I'm using a modern web page in SharePoint Online to display events. With the modern events web part, it only displays upcoming events as tiles. The people I'm building the site for would like their events web part to show a full grid view of the calendar month. I can't seem to find a way to do this in the modern experience. Would be great if anybody knows how I can do this (if it's possible)? Thanks85KViews2likes24CommentsDuplicate Calendar Invites Sent
Beginning 12/13/18 we got a report from one of our end users that Calendar invite emails were being sent multiple times to the recipients (both internal and external). The recipient would report receiving the invite many times (10+ in many cases) but the invite email only shows up once in the meeting creators Outlook Sent Items folder. We verified through message tracker that the invite is actually being sent by O365 several times so it's not something wrong with the recipients side recreating them. We now have several users who are reporting this issue as of 12/14. We thought it might be Outlook or Outlook plugin related but we've kind of discounted that because even with Outlook closed the invite emails continue to be sent. Is anyone else seeing this type of activity? We have a ticket opened with O365 support but it hasn't yielded any positive results yet. "In the old days" you could show as many months of calendar in the to-do bar space as the width would allow. As you dragged the width wider, more months would fill in. Now no matter how wide you make the screen real estate, only one month is visible. My screenshot below makes it clear what I'm saying. The yellow spaces used to show the month before and after the "primary" month that was currently displayed in the main window. As I don't think this is a setting, Microsoft please consider this a suggestion -- to bring back the described functionality as it was until at least Outlook 2013 if not even more recent.
