Microsoft Teams is currently unable to make/receive calls due to the app being unable to set a Microphone or speaker device. The 'Audio Devices' profile within settings is set to 'Custom Setup' and no other option is available in the drop down (screenshot attached). When try to continue using the custom setup, no devices are available as the drop-downs are unclickable (screenshot attached). Other useful info: OS: Windows 10 - latest Microsoft Teams Version: 1.2.00.24753 (64 bit). It was last updated on 22/09/2019. I have uninstalled and re-installed teams. Audio devices work fine in all other applications No other application is using the devices when Teams is being tested.Solved604KViews6likes58CommentsMicrosoft Teams Bluetooth Headset No Sound When Using External Mic
I am currently on Windows 11 Build 22504.rs_prelease.211112-1650 and whenever I use Microsoft Teams Desktop (Version 1.4.00.29469 (64-bit), last updated on 2021-11-06) with my Taotronics TT-BH22 headset, I cannot hear anything from the headset's speakers in the call unless I use the headset's microphone. The two problems with using the headset's own microphone are that The audio quality becomes very poor for no reason I want to use my external Blue Yeti microphone instead of my headset microphone. The above picture is what I would like my Teams audio setup to be, with my Taotronics headphones as the speakers and my Yeti as the microphone. With this setup in a Teams call, although I can notice sound being played to my Taotronics via the sound control panel (see image below), I do not hear it. So I effectively cannot use my external microphone in Teams because I have a bluetooth headset mic, and when I use the bluetooth headset's microphone in Teams, the sound on the headset works, but it is of very poor quality. I have tried disabling the headset mic, but that doesn't fix the issue, as I still can't hear anything from my headphones. I've been able to use Teams on the browser without an issue, but I need the features on Teams Desktop since the browser version is limited.Solved55KViews5likes23CommentsCan't hear teams through head phones or Bluetooth speaker
I'm trying to use teams, but I'm losing my cool. I can hear it through my laptop speakers, which are woefully quiet, my Bluetooth headphones, and through the headphone jack if connected to my TV. But..... Occasionally I need to use it in another room after my Bluetooth headphones are out of battery (we use it to communicate whilst gaming for longer than the battery lasts). In this room I have the option of a set of plug in headphones or my Amazon echo dot. I have previously been able to listen to teams through the echo but it is no longer working. Everything is connected correctly, the laptop registers the output, and it is selectable in teams as well. I can listen to anything else through the echo or head phones, such as YouTube. But teams is silent! Short of buying a second pair of Bluetooth headphones what can I do? Again, the laptop is connected to the echo, I can hear YouTube through the echo so it is connected. I can also select the echo in teams. But as soon as I do this I lose all audio. Any help would be appreciated.41KViews0likes4CommentsMost calls with Teams Direct Routing become one way audio
Have set up Direct Routing with an Audiocodes SBC and am testing features with my account in Teams only mode. I can make and receive calls just fine but it seems on most calls after about a minute or so the audio becomes one way - initially the call would just drop and I saw in the syslog the AC was showing an rtp broken connection error so I set broken connection mode to ignore but now the audio just becomes one way where I can hear the remote person but they can't hear me. Audiocodes syslog isn't helping much and just shows an rtp broken connection error. Anyone else see this or have any ideas? I would suspect it's the firewall except for the fact that in some of my testing the calls are fine and don't become one way.33KViews0likes9CommentsProblems with custom audio setup on teams.
I have been using teams for my school for the past 3 months. Until recently I used to have a custom setup for my audio devices where I would use my Bluetooth Boat Airdopes 441 as the output and my Headset Microphone (plugged in through the 3.5 mm jack) as the input. However since a week this setup has stopped working. The moment I do this setup, I stop hearing the meeting. The only way my earphones work is when both the Audio input and output are from the headphones. However when I use my speaker as the output, it works perfectly. (Refer Screenshot). I am on Windows 11 and using teams for work and school version. Also this setup works perfectly on Discord and Zoom so there isn't a problem with the headphones or the microphone.18KViews4likes10CommentsTeams audio being userped by other softphone applicaitons
Hello, I have an end user who's having an issue where his main phone app, cisco IP communicator keeps somehow over riding the audio for teams. So if cisco is up and running you can not hear any audio on a teams call. As soon as I kill cisco everything is normal. I have jacked around with audio settings in both apps and windows 10 till I'm blue in the face. I've reinstalled both cisco and teams w/o success. I can not seem to find any other issue like this anywhere online. Has anyone else experienced this issue with other soft phone apps and teams?15KViews0likes5CommentsTeam Live Event Audio
It's our first time trying to run a Teams Live Event. I did a test run with our presenter, who is outside our organization. He was able to see video stream and screen shares within the Live Event, but neither one of us could hear each other through the program. We were both unmuted 🙂 Any suggestions or help for trying to figure out the audio within our Live Event?13KViews0likes8Comments
