We use Direct Routing. Being able to assign a phone number directly on the Teams Admin Center web page has never worked for us in the past. The Assigned Phone Number field was always grayed out (but we COULD assign a Voice Routing Policy with no issues). BUT...Several weeks ago we noticed the option to assign a phone number was now available to edit (the field was available to type in and we could successfully add a number there). But as of about a week ago, the option to assign a phone number is grayed out again. We CAN assign the number in PowerShell like we did in the past, but that's very inconvenient because we have to remote desktop to a Windows Server and then authenticate once again with our Azure admin account when we connect to Teams (Import-Module MicrosoftTeams and then Connect-MicrosoftTeams). Is there some reason why this field was available in the Teams Admin Center and then taken away again (not available to edit in the Teams Admin Center)? Very frustrating. 😞Solved5.6KViews1like6CommentsAdmin Center Alerts
Hi, I am trying to look for ways of setting up alerts in Windows Admin Center. Is there a possibility of getting email alerts from Windows Center if Servers, Clusters or other are down or experiencing performance issues? I am not looking to pay for Azure monitor however. Hello everyone, yesterday my boss asked me to block people from creating Teams. Somewhere (I don't remember) in the Teams Admin Center I disabled the option to create Microsoft 365 and Private Groups. It was a page with switches. Today my boss wants me to enable all that again and I can't find where I did those changes. I want to restore the option so everyone by default can create groups. Any idea? Hi There, We are running a large set of Win 2019 distributed servers with a managed Active Directory on AWS. I would like to use the Admin center to remotely manage those servers + the AD extension to manage the AWS managed AD. I this supported? at this early investigation point, I am in a stage that the AD extension is not loaded and coming up in the menu. All other basic function looks working. Thx, Nir.2.2KViews1like0CommentsUsability
While I do like the new admin center, but why should I really use this over just RDP'ing into the server. You have some of the modules (Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS) in preview mode, but they really aren't useable. The other thing is in most RDP connection manager we can have multiple tabs open, but in Windows Admin Center you can only have one connection to a server, cluster, etc. Don't have the ability to click and tell it to open in a new tab. Not sure if this is really a place for it, but there doesn't seem to be a Group Policy module and maybe not something that can be put into Windows Admin Center.932Views1like0CommentsWant to disable SharePoint non-owners to invite new users
In the Office 365 SharePoint admin center under the site collections section I open the sharing screen for a site collection. There is an option to "Turn off sharing for non-owners on all sites in this site collection." This effectively unchecks all the boxes in the Access request settings page of all the sites in the site collection. However, I just found that they can still be re-checked by the site owners of the sites, also at subsite level, even after this. This means that what initially seems like a de-activation of the option to share the sites by non-owners is nothing but a reset of the Access request settings on the sites. This is disturbing and puzzling as you would think changing such a key setting for the site collection in the SharePoint admin centre would have a permanent effect. Does anyone know if this is the intention or if there is an option to completely disable the option that I did not catch? Fig.1 shows the settings prior to turning off for the site collection. Fig.2 after. Then Fig.3 shows it being possible to activate at subsite level anyway - which actually resets the setting in the admin center also back to what is shown in Fig.1.6.9KViews1like2Comments
