Dear community, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP and we have been reviewing the updated version of the MPA that is available for review in Partner Center. As we were reading it, we saw a new clause. more specifically clause 8 (g) in page 43 that describes that and I quote "Extended Term for Expiring Subscriptions. If a Software Subscription or seat-based OLS Subscription is not renewed at the end of the subscription term, access to the applicable Software or OLS will continue following expiration for 30 days and may continue thereafter for successive one-month periods until cancelled (“Extended Term”). Microsoft reserves the right to invoice Company for the Extended Term at the then-current published price for a monthly subscription plus a three (3) percent uplift. If it does, Microsoft will provide Company with an opportunity to opt out of the Extended Term prior to the expiration date and request instead that the applicable Subscription either be renewed automatically or disabled immediately upon expiration. Company will have 90 days to extract Customer Data from a disabled account, but the Subscription cannot be reactivated." Following the above new clause, could please help us understand the following two questions: Does the "Extended Term" as described above include the 30 first days after the expiration of a subscription or not? Could you please enlighten us on the way that this "opt out opportunity" will be systematically implemented? How will we be able to utilize this opportunity for our partners/indirect resellers? Kindly asking for your significant help on these points as it is critical for our business decisions to avoid unforeseen costs for our partners. Thank you in advance, NickSolvedManaging accounts in multiple Partner/CSP tenants
How are other people managing accounts in multiple Partner/CSP tenants? We're a global partner with customers around the world. Microsoft's requirement that customers only be supported by partner/CSP tenants in the customer's region means that we have to create user accounts in many different tenants. This is hard to administer and hard for our staff to use. It would be less of an issue if guest accounts worked, but they don't. Do you manually on/offboard accounts from all the different tenants? Have you purchased a 3rd party M365 tenant administration tool? Have you built your own tenant administration tooling to consolidate these tasks? Your thoughts are appreciated.SolvedPartner Center Sandbox
I'm seeking guidance on how to get access to a new Partner Center Indirect Reseller Sandbox. I've spoken to my Indirect Provider contact, who referred me to Microsoft. However, my contacts at Microsoft are also unclear about the process. Could anyone share the detailed steps or process for gaining access? I've checked learn.microsoft, but the articles I found are a bit high-level. Thank you in advance for your help!SolvedIssue with Microsoft Partner Centre Vet Team
Hi All, Had anyone experienced the similar with the vet team where they reject a legit document yet being redundant saying that the document does not fulfill the requirement? They rejected it on the basis that it its not within a year of validity. That was when i signed up for AI Cloud partner program. This was the reply from the vet team. Upon review, we identified that the documents you’ve shared will expire in 2 months All documents submitted must be issued within the previous 12 months or where the expiration date is a future date that is at least two months away. My documents are definitely issued within the previous 12 months. After couple of email exchange questioning them, it finally got through but it took weeks. Now i've signed up for CSP indirect reseller program and here we go again. I renewed my domain and its of 5 years validity now, it got rejected on the basis that it did not fulfill the validity condition. I've furnished further business registration information about my company since the 4th of March. To date they're still telling me its under review. Is that how Microsoft Partner Center Vet team works? Where it takes ages for them to go through a simple document, where they would reject a valid document just to make things hard. I've seen previous posts that says the same about the Vet team and i've heard from partners in my region that they too are having hard time with the vet team. I have an urgent deal which requires me to acquire license for my client today. Anyone can enlighten me how to get through their thick skull and fasten the process? I support a CSP that operates almost exclusively in Azure Gov/GCC High. The primary subscription we've sold for the last several years was the CSP for Azure Government offer that does not support the built in cost management tools. With over 1000 subscriptions of this type across our customer base the lack of cost management tools is becoming a huge headache. I regularly have customers that incur large, unexpected, increases because they roll something out and then have no way of seeing or monitoring their ongoing spend. By the time they see their invoice they're 15 days into the next billing cycle and now not only have a single unexpected increase but whatever they've accrued in those 15 days as well. This results in a support request and then having to go through the refund request process with Microsoft. I've heard for the 2 years I've been back with my company that cost management tools for the CSP for Azure Government subscriptions "were on the roadmap". Are they ever going to be there? If so, when? If not, why not? If not, we need some way to easily AND inexpensively migrate those customers with those CSP subscriptions over to AOS-G where they do have access to the cost management tools. If you support a CSP and these types of subscriptions, how does your organization address the issue? Hi, I have a question about managing access to Azure subscriptions in the CSP model as an Indirect Provider (Distributor). Granting Access to Customers: What is the correct way to grant access to Azure subscriptions for customers? Are there any recommended practices or tools to simplify this process? Automation: Is it possible to automate the process of granting access? If yes, what tools or scripts could be helpful? Permissions: What permissions are required to smoothly assign such access? Is it necessary to configure GDAP (Granular Delegated Admin Privileges)? Or is using a Foreign Principal sufficient? I’m looking for detailed insights to understand the differences between these approaches and to choose the best solution. Thanks in advance for any tips and guidance! 😊Solved
