Partner question
87 TopicsAnnual/monthly price increase per 1st of April 2025
Hi Microsoft, Besides the discussion on the price increase itself: November 2024 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn I'm wondering how this "standardizing the billing structure" works for triannual subscriptions. The post only states that Annual subscriptions with Monthly payment term will undergo a +5% price increase. But how will this affect multi-year subscriptions? Eg. Triannual subscription with annual payment term. Cheers, MartijnNew FY26 incentive guidelines
Hope someone can share some insights on this, as Microsoft is publishing conflicting messages. Starting October, Microsoft will change the incentive requirements for partners. In the announcement it is stated that partners will earn incentives if they have 25 points in EACH solution area. Source: May 2025 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn In other presentations published, it stated 25 points in a SPECIFIC solutions area. Source: Microsoft Commerce Incentive Resources Conflicting messages from Microsoft, so which is it? The nuance is a big difference for partners. I'd assume the latter is correct. Also note that the incentives will be split further between solution areas. And note the increased thresholds for Direct Bill partners. Cheers, MartijnSolvedGDAP: Roles required for conditional access?
Hi I've been evaluating the minimal roles required for GDAP relationships so we can help customers with issues regarding to locked tenants. Based on this FAQ the role privileged authentication administrator is required to unlock accounts, however if a customer has messed up conditional access at the tenant level, this role isn't sufficient. A tenant-internal account needs at least the role conditional access administrator to gain access to that part and have the possibility of fixing or disabling erroneously configured rules (I've tested that). However the same privileges are given to a partner technician, they can't access that part of Entra Admin, nor the AAD Admin UI. I've tested this a couple of times with different users from the CSP / partner side, however no luck yet. Any Ideas where I could poke further? (I'd like to avoid simply requesting global admin to all our customers, that's the main point) Looking forward to some inputs or ideasCan a Windows Server perpetual license be hosted in a Public Cloud?
Dear team, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP and we need to make a decisions for a significant amount of licenses we have. To help you on the reply, we are having our own Datacenter structure on VMs (IaaS), however the licenses discussed in this scenario are not part of our Datacenter structure. More specifically, we would like to evaluate if "Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop Services - 1 User CAL (Commercial)" perpetual licenses can successfully hosted and utilized under a Public Cloud infrastructure. Does Flexible Virtualization Benefit help us at this point? Should we follow any guide to become an Authorized Outsourcer? Does the pricing of the "Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop Services - 1 User CAL (Commercial)" perpetual licenses stays the same? Much appreciated in advance! NickGDAP and not allowing global admin to auto renew
Hi all, The relationships we created two years ago are quickly approaching their expiration date, and I'm interested in how other people are handling the creation of new relationships. With the introduction of relationships that auto renew, have you found this to be a viable path? We are a Managed Service Provider and our customers expect us to turn ALL the knobs for them in the Microsoft portals. I want to have the flexibility of techs only enabling the roles they need, but there are a LOT of roles. Creating a relationship with 34 roles is a bit extreme. Plus, it looks like we need 43 built-in roles to have the same level as access as Global Admin, and some of those roles are not available via GDAP today. The role that stands out the most is "Organizational Branding Administrator." Am I missing something, or is the only way to change sign-in branding to use the Global Administrator role (which prevents auto-renewal) or use a local tenant admin account? What would partners think if Microsoft allowed the Global Admin role to auto-renew until Microsoft adds all the built in roles to GDAP roles needed to replace Global Admin? Maybe put some sort of extra warning on the role acceptance side advising the client this is not recommended and let the client make that informed choice themselves? What do you think customers opinion of this move would be? From my conversations with different people, I am under the impression that customers didn't want Microsoft to allow partners the option of letting the Global Admin role auto-renew. Since I have never met a customer that shared this view, I can't comment on the accuracy of that statement, but that what I've heard.SolvedNext Week | Microsoft Partner FY25 GTM Launch Event July 22, 2024!

Happy day dear community, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP program. One of our resellers wants for the first time to buy a legacy Microsoft Action Pack. Based on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/mpn-get-action-pack learn, you can see that under the Data & AI, located in the "Microsoft Action Pack Benefit details (MAPS)" table, there are 5 licenses for Microsoft Office 365 E3. So the resellers asks if Microsoft Teams is still included into this Microsoft Office 365 E3 licenses. Thank you in advance for your significant input & prompt reply! Best regards, NickSolved
