I need help with installing Windows 11 on a hard drive. I'm not sure about the precise steps necessary for installing the operating system on the new hard drive. Is the process different from previous versions? If so, I would appreciate an outline of the new steps required. I hope somebody can provide advice on how to complete this process successfully. If there are any potential issues or problems I need to watch out for. Thanks. [Updated] I ended up using an ISO burner (www.howtogeeker.com/install-windows-10-on-new-ssd) to make a Windows 11 bootable hard drive—super easy. Just burn the ISO, boot from the USB, and follow the prompts. The only thing to watch for is picking the right hard drive so you don’t accidentally wipe the wrong one!92KViews51likes6CommentsMy computer beeps and black screen
Sometimes, usually around night time, I'll hear a sudden beep sound coming from my computer. It's not a notification beep or an error beep. It's happened multiple times, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Sometimes the beep is accompanied by a brief black screen or a flicker, but other times it just disappears as quickly as it started. The other issue my computer will go to a black screen for a few seconds before reverting back to normal. This has happened even when I'm in the middle of using the computer, and it's not related to any specific task or program. I've tried restarting my computer and checking for updates, but the issues persist. Has anyone else experienced anything similar.665Views45likes2CommentsAlt Tab for Multiple Monitors, please
Currently, "Alt+Tab" appears only on the primary monitor which poses an issue when working with a multiple monitor setup. Imagine having 6 monitors, you'll get an "Alt+Tab" that shows all windows/apps open on each of the 6 screens - all on your primary monitor. That makes an alt tab that is so big, with dozens of "screens" that is rather hard to navigate. Good luck trying to figure out which window is open on which monitor. So, I'd like to request to make it more optimal, please consider showing only the open windows/apps on the "ACTIVE /currently used monitor". So that when the user is working on his other screens and presses alt+tab, he can navigate his open windows on that monitor easily. In short, please give each monitor it's own alt+tab, that contains its open windows only. Thank you.71KViews26likes9CommentsFreeze when alt-tabbing out of games
Hi. For about a week or 2 I have been getting a new bug. My entire PC freezes when I alt-tab out of a game, specifically VALORANT but it happens with other games as well. Playing on windowed/windowed borderless doesn't help. I can still hear sounds and can even still be heard when in a discord call but the only way to unfreeze is to hit the power button and force restart. I hate having to do this every time I play because it is harmful to my PC. I've seem similar threads before about this issue coming up since the last few weeks none with a real fix. Is Microsoft aware of /looking into the the issue? I've heard it's an issue on windows 11 only hence why I posted here. I even tried to downgrade back to windows 10 but it states it's not possible on this computer anymore. Is there a fix coming? edit: forgot to mention, first exiting fullscreen with F11 and then alt-tabbing out doesn't work either, still freezes228KViews19likes42CommentsUpdate 2006 for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager current branch is now available
