365 and Mac Monterey question
For my Mac, we purchased a 365 subscription, but then found out that it could not be used on Mac Monterey and was directed to download version 16.88, which we did. Does this mean that we still have to pay for a 365 subscription?

Hi,
I don't think this really answers my question. I got the 365 subscription thinking that it would work on my Mac. So, since Microsoft had me download 16.88, is this a version of 365? And if it isn't, it seems that I should cancel the 365 subscription. Thanks for your help.

If you are using version 16.88, you will no longer be required to pay for your Microsoft 365 subscription, but you will lose access to cloud synchronization and new feature updates.

Since you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you pay a recurring fee (monthly or yearly), which grants you access to Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) on multiple devices, including Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.
