Should I Enable Kernel Stack Protection in Windows 11?
Kernel Stack Protection, a security feature in Windows 11, enhances system security but performs stricter checks, which may impact application compatibility and system performance to some extent. I’d like to understand how this feature works and whether it’s recommended to enable it for everyday use, particularly considering the trade-offs for general users or in gaming and productivity scenarios.

Kernel Stack Protection (KSP) is a security feature introduced in Windows 11, which aims to prevent kernel-mode exploits by protecting the kernel stack from being corrupted. This feature is designed to enhance system security by making it more difficult for attackers to exploit kernel-mode vulnerabilities.
You can just keep the default settings; although it offers slightly better performance, there are security risks involved.
For general users and gaming/office scenarios, we recommend keeping kernel stack protection enabled by default. There is no need to adjust this setting manually, as the security benefits far outweigh any potential performance impact.
