Admin Center
29 TopicsAllow users to create Teams
Hello everyone, yesterday my boss asked me to block people from creating Teams. Somewhere (I don't remember) in the Teams Admin Center I disabled the option to create Microsoft 365 and Private Groups. It was a page with switches. Today my boss wants me to enable all that again and I can't find where I did those changes. I want to restore the option so everyone by default can create groups. Any idea? In the Office 365 SharePoint admin center under the site collections section I open the sharing screen for a site collection. There is an option to "Turn off sharing for non-owners on all sites in this site collection." This effectively unchecks all the boxes in the Access request settings page of all the sites in the site collection. However, I just found that they can still be re-checked by the site owners of the sites, also at subsite level, even after this. This means that what initially seems like a de-activation of the option to share the sites by non-owners is nothing but a reset of the Access request settings on the sites. This is disturbing and puzzling as you would think changing such a key setting for the site collection in the SharePoint admin centre would have a permanent effect. Does anyone know if this is the intention or if there is an option to completely disable the option that I did not catch? Fig.1 shows the settings prior to turning off for the site collection. Fig.2 after. Then Fig.3 shows it being possible to activate at subsite level anyway - which actually resets the setting in the admin center also back to what is shown in Fig.1.6.9KViews1like2CommentsUse Flow to post O365 Admin Center messages to Teams?
Is there a way I can get the incident and advisory notifications from the O365 Admin Center to post a message to Teams using Flow? I am new to Flow and didn't see any connectors to the Admin Center in there, but I am not sure if I'm looking in the right place. Thanks! BrianAssigned Phone Number field grayed out (Teams Admin Center)
We use Direct Routing. Being able to assign a phone number directly on the Teams Admin Center web page has never worked for us in the past. The Assigned Phone Number field was always grayed out (but we COULD assign a Voice Routing Policy with no issues). BUT...Several weeks ago we noticed the option to assign a phone number was now available to edit (the field was available to type in and we could successfully add a number there). But as of about a week ago, the option to assign a phone number is grayed out again. We CAN assign the number in PowerShell like we did in the past, but that's very inconvenient because we have to remote desktop to a Windows Server and then authenticate once again with our Azure admin account when we connect to Teams (Import-Module MicrosoftTeams and then Connect-MicrosoftTeams). Is there some reason why this field was available in the Teams Admin Center and then taken away again (not available to edit in the Teams Admin Center)? Very frustrating. 😞Solved5.6KViews1like6CommentsSite Swap issues (Invoke-SPOSiteSwap)
Hello All, I just ran "Invoke-SPOSiteSwap" and get some issues so I have some questions: 1. Scenario The script worked fine (Moved the Source to targeted and create the Archive) 1.1 I moved the xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/Public to root site xxx.sharepoint.com 1.2 It takes ~1 hour 1.3 I moved root site xxx.sharepoint.com to xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/archive 1.4 Site permission and files are moved correctly 1.5 In the article said we need to manually backup the Featured links because will not be displayed after performing the swap, but I am able to see the same Featured links in the xxx.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx 2. Issues: 2. Before running the script in Admin center I had root site "xxx.sharepoint.com" and "xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/Public" I was expecting to have "xxx.sharepoint.com" and "xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/Archive" after running the script. But here is the big issue: I still have the "xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/Public" and it's giving me "Sorry, something went wrong" also there is no "xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/Archive" in the admin center. Hi everyone! I have encountered an issue with the new Exchange Online Admin Center. In the old admin center, I could easily view and validate quarantined mobile device details, allowing me to make informed decisions about allowing authentic devices to connect to Outlook App. However, in the new Exchange Online Admin Center, when I navigate to the user mailbox and click on "Manage Mobile Devices," the quarantined devices are displayed but without any device information. This lack of information makes it challenging for me to allow or remove a device from quarantine effectively. I am unable to view the last sync attempt or any other device details. I kindly request assistance from Microsoft regarding this matter as it poses a potential security breach. Please take a look at the attached screenshots for reference. In the old admin center, I could view device details, whereas the new admin center only offers options to Allow, Delete, Block, or Wipe the devices. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Solved3.6KViews0likes5CommentsContinuous integration and deployment for your SharePoint Framework solutions
