The i7-7700K meet the minimun requierments to run Win11. But its not suported, Why?
Hello
I think that everyone has the right to use the operating system that for some reason is best for him!
Windows11 does not require payment for the upgrade, and PC manufacturers are already contractually obligated to adapt the specifications of their products to the requirements of Windows11.

nbelley Could you post a link to the instructions you mention, please? I can’t find them. Thank you.
- nbelleyDec 26, 2021Brass ContributorJust go on the download ISO tool, download the tool, install it on a USB stick, start the setup from the USB stick and VOILÀ, you can update to windows 11 without problem. The install program does alert you about the CPU but you can continue upgrade without a problem. Windows Update then works normally as does Windows 11, so, CPU is indeed supported even if no officially.

fujitsu m12 has 2.5 times more performance per core than m10 so just because coffee lake 8th generation is 6 core or a 12 generation i3 is 4 cores it does not mean anything, IBM still sells in their latest processors a quad core and it will beat almost any… so the point is that i7 , 7th generation even though it’s only quad core it doesn’t mean anything watch the video on intel’s latest soc and you will see how useless a lot of their cores in fact are on the latest design… sorry I didn’t mean to reply to you specifically but contribute to the thread and fortify the point that the i7 7700k may not be as obsolete as it seems… like an i3 will not do it justice… i am pretty sure even a power 9 smt4 quad core would outperform most cpus on the market despite the fact it is also 3-4 years old as well… they have power 11 coming out… https://youtu.be/xUMPAfOBNxs

Yes, and I would choose your proposal because Microsoft - is prepared for such a solution, but must warn that something may go wrong.
