Microsoft Sites Blocked by Defender
I found this irritatingly amusing. Click on download the report from Exchange. and get I refreshed the page and after it thinks for a bit it downloaded the file. Selecting release email quarantine does the same thing. Refreshing this does nothing. Why is defender blocking these things and what category is causing the blockage since it doesn't tell you why it is blocked which is always irritating since all of these types of programs, that I have used are this way. You are blocked but we are not going to tell you why? Just to add to the list, I added Gmail to the allowed. If I go to google.com and click Gmail it does the same as the above but if I refresh the screen, it loads Gmail. I think for some of this I am fighting the irritating lack of wildcards that let you say accept all websites that are sub-domains of this, such as https://mail.google.com/mail/&ogbl which defender is blocking even though https://mail.google.com/mail/ is part of the allow list.Warned websites with 3rd party browsers hassles.
I know Microsoft really wants people to use Edge. That said the company I work for is basically exclusively Google Chrome. I setup Facebook to be a site that gives a warning since some people in advertising and such need access to it, which with Edge you say yes I understand it will be tracked and it lets you go about your day. On Chrome it gives the standard this site can't provide a secure connection. There is a popup though in notification center stating the site is blocked but gives an allow option. If you do allow FB opens but it looks like something from 1998. It then says there is other things that are blocked. Do I have to just keep going through and allowing URL's whenever I run into something like this? If it is possible, I am hoping I can do mixed licensing where I can give P1 licenses to people who need extra access (managers) and leave everyone else on the defender for business license we currently have with M365 Business Premium. When trying to save a forms document it works for some people and for others it gives an error that states Error saving MSForms changes - Some of your changes were not saved. Please check your network connection or try again later. If the document is saved 10 times, this error will happen 8 of them. The other two it saves fine. There is nothing wrong with the network. When saving, it says Some of your changes were not saved. Please check your network connection or try again later. There is a couple articles I have come across, but all it is, is asking for help, but not getting any replies, including on Microsoft tech sites. It does look like it has been an issue in one form or another for a couple years.Email Notifications
How do I turn off email notification? I have Teams Pre with the New Teams turned on, which probably labels me as a glutton for punishment. Every single Teams message I get even if I have read and replied to it, generates an email notification saying that this person is trying to get ahold of me. Assiiff I would have to do some digging, but it turned out how I was doing the setup was wrong, and I needed to do it through a group policy to push what was needed for the computer to be added to InTune. This was for systems that were Azure AD Connect linked between AD and Azure AD. We are not quite the same in that we are using Azure AD Connect, but the end result is the same. The system has both of those registry keys, but they are empty outside of the default key. I tried to run regcmd /status in run, command prompt, and in powershell and it says it doesn't know what regcmd is. dsregcmd /status though showed the following for the device state. AzureJoined: Yes EnterpriseJoined: No DomainJoined: Yes DomainName: company domain Device Name: Computers name It shows as Hybrid Azure AD Joined in the AAD devices area. MDM shows as none.Creating org chart in Visio only pulls selected person and not subordinates.
When I go through the process in Visio 2019 to create an Org chart that pulls data from Exchange 365, which has everyone's department and managers, all it pulls is the person that was selected, but none of their subordinates. I have seen mention of this going for a couple years, and wondering if anyone has found a fix. My system has Outlook setup on it, so it is accessing the GAL. If I go to M365, Settings, Org Settings, there is nothing about Search. Under M365, Settings, search and intelligence, configuration is empty. We currently have Microsoft 365 Standard. From what I am seeing we should have this capability since it is in the same grouping as M365 App's but with more features. Is this not part of M365 Standard, or could it be due to not having full admin rights to M365 admin center is why I don't see it?
