Central office templates available from users client programs
This article "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/organization-assets-library" describes how to create an organization assets library. By gathering the organization's official templates in a document library and then running a PowerShell script, all these templates become available to users in their Office clients (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) when they click "New". This works very well for those who are on a newer build of Office, but I have not found any documentation that describes what version / build number you need to be at a minimum. Does anyone here have the answer to which version / build number you have to be at a minimum?Solved4.5KViews1like4CommentsWhat areas should be addressed in Office 365 Governance Plans?
Office 365 Governance is an area that has as many definitions as the number of people you ask about it. I have updated my blog with a https://providing.tips/2019/08/12/what-areas-should-be-addressed-in-office-365-governance-plans/ where i, based on my definition, compiled the points/areas that I consider to be important to start with when establishing Governance for Office 365 and its services. I am interested in getting suggestions also from you on which areas that are most important for you to have control over in order to be comfortable and satisfied with the administration of your environment? luvsql I almost never use the "Quick Access" and i do not know why your sites don't show up. BUT, Move to and Copy to should be available on all modern document libraries in SharePoint sites regardless of how you navigate to them. "Following" should also be available when you are inside the respective SharePoint site. (see the upper right corner in attached picture) and if you follow a site it should be visible when you later use "Move to" or "Copy to".14KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Open invite to Microsoft TEAMS meetings
tpena1355 With the right settings regarding the "Meeting Policy" of your organization and in the settings for the meeting itself, the answer is Yes. You can read more detailed info about this here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/microsoftteams/meeting-policies-participants-and-guests?WT.mc_id=TeamsAdminCenterCSH2.8KViews1like0CommentsRe: Tasks by Planner and to do, One note attachment
Shaun_the_Photog If You want to add a OneNote-page to a Task in the Planner of the Team you can do the following: Open OneNote in browser and the page. Copy the url from your browser address bar. Go to your Team, open the Planner (Tasks). Open or create a task. Go to Add Attachment and select "A link to a URL" Paste the url you recently copied. It should then look like this when you have saved the task. Regarding "Planner", you cannot default it to Lists. Regards, Magnus2KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Document Library usage Stats
Robin Thakur Not a complete solution to your need but in any case better than just the last 10 documents you mention is to go to Site Contents and the Site Usage Report located there. Not a complete solution to your need but in any case better than just the last 10 documents you mention is to go to Site Contents and the Site Report located there. Another variant is that you use "Microsoft 365 usage analytics" located in the M365 Admin Center, and possibly customize a report in Power BI.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Sharepoint
Edwin335 A "rule of thumb" (Old Swedish saying) is to keep it as open as possible and to the greatest extent possible, avoid setting unique rights at the folder and file level. If you must restrict permissions, do so at the highest level possible. For example, it is easier to maintain and get an overview of permissions on a Document Library than on individual folders/files. If, instead of folders on level 1, you have, for example, four Document Libraries that you broke the rights inheritance on, you can have four SharePoint groups where each rights group has access to the respective document library. When you need unique rights, there is always a lot of administration. This suggestion is not the most beautiful solution but it may be the least troublesome for you. If you have a strong need to differentiate permissions, it may even be better to have multiple SharePoint areas. The final answer is, as so often otherwise, "It depends" 🙂1.7KViews0likes0Comments
